Fairfax Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 Hello, everyone. Trumpeter's kit did well, beautiful and clean with embellishments, but the plastic doesn't stick well with solvent glue. A second adhesive must be used. Plastic also crumbles a lot. I used the wheels from 76 'Ford Torino by Revell. I attach photos in the sun and in the shade. 1
BeakDoc Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 Very nice, clean build! Looks like it means business.
stevez Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 Tremendous, great build, I know that kit was bashed when it came out, sure looks good to me. Surprised there's any kits left of this model, never heard worse reviews.
shoopdog Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 Very nice, love the color combo. Some of the pics it could pass for a 1:1.
espo Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 Beautiful looking Ranchero. I always like the 1:1 Rancheros from this era.
tbill Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Great looking build. I have one of these kits, but after reading the horror stories, been afraid to try it, but after seeing this, I may give it a go.
Maindrian Pace Posted September 21, 2019 Posted September 21, 2019 Super clean build, and a great stance and color too. Love it.
1930fordpickup Posted September 21, 2019 Posted September 21, 2019 This turned out nice, with a good color combo for my taste.
Funkychiken Posted September 21, 2019 Posted September 21, 2019 Sweet build, those wheels really suit it!
Sam I Am Posted September 22, 2019 Posted September 22, 2019 That is gorgeous.... I have owned numerous 1:1 Falcons and this is one that has escaped me....for now.
Sixties Sam Posted September 22, 2019 Posted September 22, 2019 Great build! Perfect color choice, very well done! Sam
Fairfax Posted September 23, 2019 Author Posted September 23, 2019 Thank you so much, guys. For Steve Zajac and Tom Billings: It's a nice kit. The only negatives are that the plastic material is fragile and not stuck with regular model glue. Also, the pay chassis isn't very pretty. Some of the clutches weren't very deep, such as the front window frame on the roof. I also, unlike the manual, glued the inner back into the body so it could be coloured as a whole and not glued to it until it was dyed. Be sure to build it.Go ahead ! :-) :-)
olschoolkid Posted October 23, 2019 Posted October 23, 2019 Looks like a nice Ranchero to me. I really like the tear drop hood scoop.
Fairfax Posted October 30, 2019 Author Posted October 30, 2019 Thank you so much Matthew for the nice words.
ewetwo Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 Looks great. I have a few trumpeter kits. What kind of glue do you recommend?
mrm Posted November 6, 2019 Posted November 6, 2019 This has so much win in it! The colors, the stance...just perfect.
