Recently I have managed to finish such items as getting the interior back together after re-working the steering wheel, finish the foil and darken the panel lines on the body, and am currently working on some interior trim parts in preparation for glass installation. Most recently I added a trim piece to the back of the rear package shelf to help fill the gap that would have been fairly pronounced between the interior and the body. Steve
Straightliner59 Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 (edited) I did some more burnishing of the aluminum radiator shell for the Model A, and sectioned a radiator to fill it with. Still work to do, but, it's progress! This assembly leaves plenty of room for the pulleys and fan. I wasn't too confident, before! ? Edited February 28, 2020 by Straightliner59

Now THAT steering wheel looks like something that belongs in that top-quality interior. Well done and drive on!
VW93 Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 Did some painting of the components for "Flashed", my 40 Willys coupe build. Nearly all the parts have been primed and I've started getting some color on them.
64Comet404 Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 I decided to sort through my specialty paints and make sure there weren’t any dead bottles. I found two which had gummed up beyond saving, but that’s not bad for paint that was almost twenty years old. I may even get some building done while watching the Cup race from California.
NOBLNG Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 Not actual work on a car...but an accomplishment. I made an airbrush cleaning pot. It cost me $3 for the PVC elbow and the copper I had laying around.
ChrisBcritter Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 Got all eight plugs wired on the '65 Nova's engine. Lesson learned: Do the distributor first, then run the cables to the plug boots.
Straightliner59 Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 After posting the update on the Model A coupe, I made new shocks for it and got started on the steering box. Next up will be mounting hardware for the springs, so I can re-assemble the suspension, and locate the shocks.
NOBLNG Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 (edited) I started trimming the flash off a flea-market Ferrarri that I thought was complete, only to find that one wheel rim does not match the other three ?. Edited March 2, 2020 by NOBLNG
VW93 Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 Got a few more parts painted for my 40 Willys build and started going through some parts kits I need to do something with.
Modlbldr Posted March 5, 2020 Posted March 5, 2020 (edited) I've been working on finishing up my custom MPC Vette. I've managed to paint it and get most of it assembled. I painted a base coat of Testors Metallic Black and misted on some Testors silver blue on the upper portion for a two tone fade. All I have left to do is make a grill. I have also started on a lowered 41 Plymouth. So far just some small custom touches and a coat of primer. Later- Edited March 5, 2020 by Modlbldr
TooOld Posted March 5, 2020 Posted March 5, 2020 Not getting much bench time this year but I managed to finish the engine for my '63 Fairlane .
Snake45 Posted March 5, 2020 Author Posted March 5, 2020 Finished up the Snake-Fu on a diecast '64 GTO that I've been working on for a week--FAR too long. (Story will be told elsewhere.)

StevenGuthmiller Posted March 5, 2020 Posted March 5, 2020 I had been wracking my brain to come up with a presentable air cleaner element for my '68 Olds in light of the fact that it will have a removable and open air cleaner. Nothing seemed to be working as I wanted it to, so I decided to scratch build one. Details in my build thread. Steve
ChrisBcritter Posted March 6, 2020 Posted March 6, 2020 '65 Nova 327 - Detailed the plug boots with a couple drops of UV resin each, and installed the oil filler tube after cutting a tiny notch in it and adding a tiny piece of photoetch to hold the end of the carb return spring (not connected yet). Obviously not a Guthmiller or a Geary, but a little better than my last effort . Anyone have decals for the 327 labels?
Snake45 Posted March 6, 2020 Author Posted March 6, 2020 Got the paint done on a '69 Firebird diecast I'm working on. Flat black primer, covered with matte clear (for protection). It looks like something Darth Vader would drive if he were a hotrodder.
StevenGuthmiller Posted March 6, 2020 Posted March 6, 2020 Finished a couple more scratch made detail parts for the 442. A pair of sun visors, and a dome light. Steve
