magicmustang Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 Got three Grumpy's Toys Pro Stocks almost ready for paint. The hardest one was the Camaro, tried for years to fit a 1/24 Revell Pro stock chassis into a 1/25 MPC Camaro body , it ain't gonna happen. Found the AMT Snapfast Pro Street Camaro kit and the chassis/ wheels and interior dropped right in the MPC Camaro body. Curb side but that's okay.

PatW Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 Most if not all decals done after fitting body to chassis.. Superb decals, the best ones are those black strips around the front and rear windscreens. I hate trying to paint them!
TransAmMike Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 Final coat of primer (hopefully) on my '55 build (more pics in WIP)
PatW Posted April 9, 2021 Posted April 9, 2021 Taking photo's of my latest build using my new LED light box..
ChrisBcritter Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 The '58 Buick interior/dash arrived and it's a good fit in the '57 body after a few trims, so I did some more resurfacing and reshaping on the roof and the seams atop the fenders to help bring the body from toy to model. Next I'll start hitting those epic sink marks...

afx Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 (edited) Modified the AMT Snap Kit to accept the Revell 1/25 scale parts for a possible Cuda project. I know a Hemi wasn't available in '74. Edited April 10, 2021 by afx

I know a Hemi wasn't available in '74. Cool project! I've been working "at" one of these kits off and on for a decade. The sticking point for me is I haven't figured out how to make more accurate/realistic headlight buckets, and I just can't stand what the kit gives you to work with.
NOBLNG Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 (edited) I made some casts of the Willys door panels and the bead lock rings. I added pegs at the door corners so I would have something to hang on to while sanding the backside smooth. Turns out they aren’t really needed...oh well.? Edited April 10, 2021 by NOBLNG

Modlbldr Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 Got the paint started on one of the Revell Choppers. Got a bit to go on the paint work. Later-
oldscool Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 I didn't actually accomplish this today but since the weekend I got the 66 Wildcat painted in Tamiya Deep Blue metallic and got decals on the Vette. Also finished the engine for the Vette. The pic doesn't do the deep blue justice.
Modlbldr Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 Got decals on my chopper and got some paint on my Nova Sedan. Both will be cleared with a color coat later. Later-
Modlbldr Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 I got some paint on the body of my Nova Sedan. Now to spray a couple coats of clear green. Later-
Tom Geiger Posted April 16, 2021 Posted April 16, 2021 Looks good Tom and Pat! I’ve been poking at three projects, but the boring and frustrating parts!

Tom Geiger Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 (edited) I finished my Red Chariot.. Take Two, this weekend. My newest model always gets the place of honor on my family room wall unit in front of the TV. I added the companion Blue Beetle, well because it pleases me! Valiant Speedster bodywork is complete after much care and patience. Here it is in its first coats of Duplicolor Metallic Silver, shot today! And I’m still doing bodywork on the Studebaker Gullwing. Patience! Edited April 19, 2021 by Tom Geiger
