There already is a discussion (including test shot photos) already active in another section of the forum. Started back in June.

Just goes to show most come here to General first

No disrespect to OP.

Like a kid asking if we're there yet every 12-15 minutes. Lots of 1:1 info in the early thread. Like having 3 41 Ford threads.

Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Those who do not remember their past are condemned to repeat their mistakes. Those who do not read history are doomed to repeat it.

Maybe the mods can merge these topics.  I'll contact them.

UPDATE: Looks like they did merge the new topic into the existing one. Thanks!

Had not seen this and it looks pretty good to me too. I'm genuinely liking the sheer detail from the box they're offering. If I'm really good next year I hope they'll consider an Austin-Healey 3000 MkII as a companion kit.

The big let down is the windscreen as has been discussed before but we can look forward to a nice OTS (would be surprised if they didn't make one). Still I will get one as soon as it is released.

Real car is a Series 1 Coupe from 1964

Thanks for sharing the side by side.

This is close enough for me, I'll be purchasing the new kit for sure

Yeah, for my purposes close enough and Revell addressed the most problematic areas of other kits, but still...Revell is so inconsistent when it comes to body shape from one kit to another.

Hmm. Just for Ss and Gs, let's line 'em up, sized to the wheelbase:

Now overlaid, aligned at door and hood jambs:

Food for thought, allowing for some distortion.

Thanks for taking the time to do this. I think a lot of the differences in the rear roofline and lower window contours has to do with the slightly different angles that both photos were taken. even 1-2 degrees will make a difference. Notice how all the upper surfaces of the blue car are higher than the red model. Or I could be off my rocker.  I'm still buying one

Agreed - I feel like I need this, even if it's off a touch here and there.  THat looks dang close till you do the overlay to my uncalibrated eyes.  Then not that far off.  To me.

Side view looks pretty good actually it is in this angle the windscreen and roof look really off:

Is this still planned for release in November? A Swedish seller has it listed for a January release I hope it has not been delayed. It is not up on Revell's website under previews yet.

Long story short. -  looks really good.  And it’s 24 th scale ...

at least as good as the Heller and probably better ...  whose going to be the first to build one with opening doors and rear hatch ???  Might be time to splurge on that wonder cutter ?

Here's a couple pictures of a test shot I built for a magazine (Airfix Model World, current issue - December 2020) - normally I wouldn't do this on this forum but since Model Cars Magazine is only just getting going again I don't think I'm stealing any of their thunder (I'm really hoping MCM is going to be a big success, the model car building community really needs it).

Looks great. I'm getting quite excited about this release. It appears Revell phoned in the tires, but then, it is Revell. Otherwise, it looks like a fine kit.
