carcrazy19 Posted June 20, 2020 Posted June 20, 2020 I've been working on this off and on for a long time. Its a box stock 300c. This kit is really detailed well and I enjoyed this build a lot. It went together with out any fit problems. The only problem I had with it was when I mocked it up I noticed the chassis was twisted. I'm not sure why but nothing that some hot water and some tweaking couldn't fix. The paint is Model Master white with 3 coats of Wet Look clear sanded and polished. I liked this kit so much I bought another one. I'm giving this one to a friend of mine who told me the 57 300c is his dream car. I hope you all like it. Thanks for looking. P.S. I was playing around and had thoughts of doing this kit in prostreet. I'm not sure because I like the stock look a lot. I thought it was just different and haven't seen one done that way. There are mock up picks at the end. Again, it's just a thought but tell what you think. 1
shoopdog Posted June 20, 2020 Posted June 20, 2020 Wow, looks fantastic! I like the pro street look too, pretty unique.
StevenGuthmiller Posted June 20, 2020 Posted June 20, 2020 (edited) Wow! Someone must have had a sale on AMT '57 Chrysler 300s! I believe this is the third finished build posted in the past couple of weeks! But I have to say, I think this is the best one yet! Mostly because I really like the color! This car looks particularly nice in white. Absolutely beautiful model Anthony!! Steve Edited June 20, 2020 by StevenGuthmiller
Nazz Posted June 20, 2020 Posted June 20, 2020 I like it. I also think the pro street one would make a nice companion build for this one, looks good in white!
Spottedlaurel Posted June 20, 2020 Posted June 20, 2020 Very clean, I'm sure your friend will be very pleased with it! Why not go pro street with the next one? Will be good to do something different, and use your experience from this fine example.
espo Posted June 21, 2020 Posted June 21, 2020 I like the showroom style build in this one. The paint finish and color look great.
carcrazy19 Posted June 22, 2020 Author Posted June 22, 2020 Thank you everyone for the compliments. I really appreciate them and I am glad that you like it.
Husky1943 Posted June 24, 2020 Posted June 24, 2020 Wow, that sure is a beautiful car! That was a lot of work.
doorsovdoon Posted July 9, 2020 Posted July 9, 2020 Beautiful! Very clean build. The mocked up prostreet would look amazing. Just the wheels and the stance completely changes the car. Looks like you spent hours making a funny car body!
ATHU Posted July 10, 2020 Posted July 10, 2020 That Chrysler came out really really nice, terrific work!!
