Bugatti Fan Posted August 10, 2020 Posted August 10, 2020 Could not work out why Xingu blocked this thread in the first place, but pleased to see it has been reinstated.

We sometimes lock threads so we can figure out the right way to handle a situation. If this thread briefly disappeared, it’s because I inadvertently hid the entire thread for a bit.

Sadly, probably more salient than who still has the same 30-year-old phone number, is whether they are still around at all. Unfortunately, we've lost a number of Moonlighters . . . good friends who aren't answering any phones any more. ?
Tom Geiger Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 Some of my relatives lived at the same houses with same numbers for 40-50 years. My longest was my old house in NJ, which was 25 years. Currently we don’t have a house phone but I’ve kept the same NJ cell number for 15-20 years now. As an aside, you’ll see old family phone numbers on my light commercial models. Just because.
Rob Hall Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 My family farm phone number is still the same after 50+ years, but the area code changed maybe 25 years ago. I’ve had the same cell number for close to 20 years now, even though I’ve lived in 3 states over that time.
