Hot off the workbench is my 60's style Revell based 1930 Ford Coupe sitting on top of a Revell '32 series chassis instead of the kit provided '32 style frame. Powered by a HOT 421 Pontiac with Halibrand mags and Blue Streak slicks. Also featured is a resin body top half by Drag City Casting which has a reworked insert which is raised, textured and trimmed with a round bead. Much, much better than the kit provided flush and smooth top insert.

 - Revell 1930 Coupe body with Drag City Casting resin top section with better detailed insert. Wheel wells corrected to stock, smaller diameter. Modified Revell '32 firewall. Revell '32 grill.
 - Revell 1932 5-Window chassis modified to sit lower.
 - Rear brakes changed from disc to drum plates with finned drums from AMT '32 Victoria.
 - 421" Pontiac made from AMT Parts Pack block, heads, valve covers, intake, carbs, air filters and transmission. Revell Parts Pack timming cover/water pump and fan. AMT '36 Ford pulleys/belt from its optional Pontiac engine. Revell GM generator.
 - Modified headers from Monogram 1930 Woody, modified Revell Stacey David Rat Roaster exhaust.
 - AMT Parts Pack Halibrand wheel and tire set.
 - Revell '30 Coupe interior side panels and seat. Revell '29 Roadster dashboard, column and wheel. Revell '32 5-Window floor.
 - Tamiya "French Blue" with their clear, polished and waxed. Testors one-coat "Bronze" on engine.

That is gorgeous, perfect paint choice. That Drag City greenhouse is impressive. That's the best use of those decals I've ever seen, the bluewall slicks really set it off. Another beauty on the shelf.  -RRR

One of my favorite builders - nice job Dennis!  I’d been looking forward to seeing this one done!

It occurred to me just now that maybe seeing this body in paint is where I got the idea for the color of that tall T I’m doing right now ??.  I thought I was picking an unusual color but I’m pretty sure now that my brain saw this build, liked what you did and then decided I’d come up with it myself ?

Anyway, keep up the great work buddy!

Yup, that's a proper hot-rod.

You know you got it right when it looks good from every angle.

Nice.

Good to hear from you, Bill. Thanks a bunch!

WOW! This thing has hot rod written all over it!! Everything that has been done to it has been the perfect touch! The color, wheels, engine and even the flame decals! Everything goes together just like it should! Like Phil stated, it checks all of the boxes!
