Modlbldr Posted September 28, 2020 Posted September 28, 2020 Started this on September 14th and just finished it this morning. Tires are Scenes Unlimited T22's. Paint is Testors Bright Platinum with Tamiya Mica Red over the top and Testors Wet Look Clear. The rest is out of box. Nice kit for an inexpensive Snap Tite. Later-
Modlbldr Posted September 29, 2020 Author Posted September 29, 2020 Thanks a lot guys! I appreciate it. Later-
Jim B Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 That's awesome! Great job. I really should try one of these kits.

Spottedlaurel Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 Very clean build Tom, it looks really good. The grey arches and trim painting sets off the main body colour very nicely.
Mattilacken Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 Lookig very charp as I said before! Well done!
Modlbldr Posted October 1, 2020 Author Posted October 1, 2020 Thanks guys for the nice comments. Been getting a lot of bench time in lately and able to get through quote a few kits. Should be finishing my 63 Tempest today and starting on a 71 GTX. Later-
lghtngyello03 Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 (edited) Super clean build Tom! Glad my build inspired you to do one of these kits. They are way underrated! The Scenes Unlimited tires make a huge difference for sure. Edited October 1, 2020 by lghtngyello03

Might have to pick up another one or two before everyone finds out about them for someday in the future. Later-
Plowboy Posted October 3, 2020 Posted October 3, 2020 That's a nice looking Raptor Tom! That Mica Red paint is one of my favorites. Photos don't do it justice IMO. It has to be seen in person to truly appreciate it.
Jhedir6 Posted October 3, 2020 Posted October 3, 2020 Beautiful build Tom. I love it. I just ordered those exact tires, and some wheels for a Raptor I'm working on and was wondering how they'd look just to come here and see exactly how they'd look. Happy with my purchase, now just to make mine look close to yours and I'll be happy.
Modlbldr Posted October 4, 2020 Author Posted October 4, 2020 Thanks Fellas. The shade of paint really turned out just as I wanted. I'll have to use it on another build someday. 17 hours ago, Jhedir6 said: Beautiful build Tom. I love it. It's a fun kit to build. Be sure and post a WIP with lots of pictures. Later-
Cpt Tuttle Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 Modern trucks might not be my thing but I like this one, very nice work.
vincen47 Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 This really shows the potential in that kit. Not just for beginners. It can be made into something special like this. Great work.

Yes, this simple kit can be made to look like a higher dollar kit with just a little bit of detail painting. I'm going to have to get me at least one more for a future project. Later-
Steve Geer Posted October 30, 2020 Posted October 30, 2020 Incredibly nice work! Great paint/color and excellent detailing make your build of this overlooked model a real standout - A+ And keep those Raptors coming . . . I used one of these kits for a fantasy roll-back wrecker project a few years ago and I've added a couple more to my stash.

Thanks for sharing. Later-
Steve Geer Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 Thanks, Tom That Raptor kit lends itself to all kinds of messing around. Anyway, the roll-back bed I used came from Bryant Saxe at BCS Trading -- he's got some terrific pieces. Here's the link to his eBay store. https://www.ebay.com/str/bcstrading
