Brutalform Posted November 11, 2020 Posted November 11, 2020 I’ve been away from the bench and forum for a while. Been really busy with home improvements. Got some time to get four cars off the bench. Two of them are these S/S Mustangs. I filled the holes on the sides of the engine blocks, and did away with the metal axles, replacing them with styrene rod. Filled the rear exhaust cutouts on the rear body pan. These cars were sitting here painted for a while so I decided to get them finished. 1
Snake45 Posted November 11, 2020 Posted November 11, 2020 Very cool! Reminds me that I need to do one of these as Dyno Don's. Well done and model on!
larman Posted November 11, 2020 Posted November 11, 2020 Those are both really cool! Love your builds, you have an eye for stance and getting the right details!
TarheelRick Posted November 11, 2020 Posted November 11, 2020 Oh yeah, crank 'em up and let those bosses rumble. Always liked Super Stock and Modified Production drag racing. You have done an excellent job on these two machines.
charlie libby Posted November 11, 2020 Posted November 11, 2020 awesome models .a pleasure to look at . keep up the great work
GMP440 Posted November 11, 2020 Posted November 11, 2020 Both are great looking builds. I like the second more because of the regular steel wheels in back.
majel Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 Those are both great looking models! Well done!
Hmann68 Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 Sharp pair of Mustangs! These were cool cars, no doubt. Nice job ?
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 Sharp looking Mustangs! Excellent work!
paul alflen Posted November 13, 2020 Posted November 13, 2020 Tom, what color did you use on your carb, (it looks real). or is it custom mixed?
Bills72sj Posted November 14, 2020 Posted November 14, 2020 Very nice! I am working on four similar vintage Mustangs now.
bogger44 Posted November 14, 2020 Posted November 14, 2020 Sweet pair of CJ's Tom, thanks for sharing them. I need to get around to building Hubert's car sometime, to go with the Dyno Don one I already built.
Brutalform Posted November 16, 2020 Author Posted November 16, 2020 Thanks for the positive replies everyone. I just have a question, maybe someone can point out to me? This Revell kit is said to have some body proportions that are not correct. Anyone want to chime in? I’ve compared it to some pics, and it appears to be ok, as far as I can tell anyway.

The carbs are just some resin pieces I had lying around, and they are brush painted with Testors Jet Exhaust enamel.
andy12646 Posted November 17, 2020 Posted November 17, 2020 Great looking builds! Excellent work! Planning to do the Dyno Don Mustang in the very near future. I would like to know what brand paint and color was used on the exterior.
