NOBLNG Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 (edited) This is a kit bash of the MPC Mount’n Goat kit and the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon (TJ) by Revell. I scratch built the suspension, winch and other tidbits, and swapped in a Buick 350, TH400 trans and NP205 transfer case. Differentials are from a full size Ford 1/2 ton. Wheels and tires are from Scenes Unlimited. All comments welcome...Thanks for looking. NOBLNG Posted December 27, 2020 Author Posted December 27, 2020 Some pics with the full top on and the spare tire carrier mounted. 1
Tom Geiger Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 Lookin good! I like your tire carrier and working tailgate! I’m a few steps behind you. I broke my rear axle and springs. Replaced them and I’m back up on wheels.

DRIPTROIT 71 Posted December 28, 2020 Posted December 28, 2020 This is just an Awesome build!! I like both tops on it. I followed your build thread and excellent fabrication! Top notch work all around!
espo Posted December 28, 2020 Posted December 28, 2020 I like the colors you used on this. I was following your WIP and was impressed with how you mixed and matched parts from so many different sources. I know "It's a Jeep thing" but I do get it.
mikemodeler Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 That is a sweet front end conversion, love the look and very nicely executed with clean details.

I learned a lot on this project. 22 hours ago, the goon said: Wow, really great. Mark Thanks Mark 18 hours ago, ChrisR said: Awesome! They are fairly close to the same size and shape, so it worked out fairly easy.
slusher Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 Wonderfully done Greg, and well detailed. Love the color choices..
Plowboy Posted December 31, 2020 Posted December 31, 2020 It turned out really nice Greg! I really like all of the little details you added like the partially rolled down door glass, vent windows propped open and the gas neck. Great idea for the spare tire mount! The modern clip has a natural look to it. Nice work!
89AKurt Posted December 31, 2020 Posted December 31, 2020 Came out great! I was watching your WIP, appreciate all the work you did.
Goose1957 Posted January 1, 2021 Posted January 1, 2021 Wow that came out great! I was following your wip thread and hoping it turned out good. You hit a home run with it. Looks like a Jeep I'd like to drive in real life. Great build, Jeff
bogger44 Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 Now that's just killer! Awesome details all around. Beautiful work Greg. Where's the keys? I want to take it up into the mountains in Colorado...
NOBLNG Posted January 2, 2021 Author Posted January 2, 2021 I must say I like scratch building parts and fabbing things that don’t exist in any kits. Thanks for all your appreciation Guys!
BeakDoc Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 Dang, that’s fantastic! I really dig all of the top options. And those Ridge Runners look good up under that beast.
paul alflen Posted January 7, 2021 Posted January 7, 2021 Excellent kit-bash, excellent paint, excellent build quality. Very clean build style. The "Clifford Read" of plastic modeling ? Lol. Is the gas tank off of a Revell 55 Chevy older kit(1960's-1970's)?
Aaronw Posted January 7, 2021 Posted January 7, 2021 Looks good. With the retro thing being so popular with the automakers I'm surprised Jeep or one of the big custom shops hasn't offered something like this in full scale.
