ATHU Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 (edited) Hi all!! Here's my build of Hellers Renault 4CV. I've always felt some kind of connection with the 4CV as my parents owned one when I was born, making it the first car I ever rode in....? My parents travelled all over Europe with that little French car (21HP) and it never let them down. I decided to build two versions of the car. The Maroon one is the 4CV Sport and the Grey one is showing the 4cv Affaires(Business)which was the base model with less chrome and painted bumpers, hubcaps etc. Hope you like them. Kah puts Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Beautiful, both of them. In rare cases a model looks better than the real thing, this is one of those cases.
Spottedlaurel Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Very nice! I have no personal recollection of them from when I was young, but on various French trips over the last decade or so I've seen quite a few examples. I feel I'd like to build one as a reminder of them.

Matt Bacon Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Beautiful building on both, and the little beastie is growing on me: it seems to be a French Morris Minor... Mind you, I think the "Sport" might be a little optimistic ? Lovely models and photography, as always. best, M.
espo Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 They are both beautifully built and I like seeing the differences between the two models.
robertw Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Heller kits can at times be difficult to build but you've done a great job on both these.

Your models look very good. On 1/9/2021 at 4:53 PM, Matt Bacon said: Beautiful building on both, and the little beastie is growing on me: it seems to be a French Morris Minor... They were a very nippy car, and quite fast for their time, bearing in mind that they were designed in the 1940's around the same time as the Morris Miner, and just after the Volkswagen Beetle. I remember being in the back seat as we went up the M! in the early 70s, passing most of the other cars, even those that were newer.. Edited May 20, 2021 by Peter67 removing wrong image
