Cuba_13 Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 Friends, I present to you my latest work. Interior paints: Tamiya + Pacific88 acrylics. Undercarriage: Acrylics + LP Tamiya. Body: Acrylic Akan. Varnish: 2k zero colors. As for the varnish, I want to note that it is not always necessary to blindly instructions for packaging, because the last times I did not like how the varnish is applied and polished. When I used to take 2k varnish for bottling (single portion), I diluted it liquid-liquid and everything was ok. So I did this time too. I spread zero 2 times more than the instructions advise.
larman Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 Great job! The engine and interior are detailed very nicely!
Steamboat Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 Very nice ! Looks like you could jump in and drive it!
youpey Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 (edited) i loved those thunderbirds as a kid. i actually had 4 through the years - 84, 85, 88, 95. The 84 was my first car. The 85 i had only a 5 years ago, i was going to restore it. i never did though and ended up junking it Edited April 18, 2021 by youpey

bisc63 Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 Nicely done; looks very realistic. Is something under the hood holding the hood up, or is there some warpage?

I have one of these kits, and was thinking I might need to watch that area for fit issues; glad it was a false alarm. Poor fitting hoods are a constant pain it seems! ( AMT '70 Monte Carlo, '71 Charger, etc.) Hope my T-bird comes out nearly so realistic, and I hope I didn't sound too critical; was mostly just curious. Edited April 18, 2021 by bisc63 typo
AMT68 Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 Looks great overall and nice engine compartment detailing. I always thought the '87-'88 Thunderbirds were the best looking of the Fox body era.
Claude Thibodeau Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 Hi Roman! Nice build, and your color combo is one that was very ubiquitous when those TBirds were introduced. Brings back memories... CT
FLHCAHZ Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 Nice build the colors really work. The detailing is very good
Plowboy Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 So well done! You captured so many of the details of the full scale T-Bird! Like the tail lights, trim and the wheels with the slightly mismatched center cap. Nice work!

bogger44 Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Very nicely done! I really like the detailing under the hood. When I was a kid one of my best friend's parents bought one new in the same colors, I loved that car so much.
Plastic_Passion Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Superb! I love what you've done with the tail lights as well! Fantastic build!!!
slusher Posted April 22, 2021 Posted April 22, 2021 Gorgeous and well detailed Thunderbird. Excellent clean build!
doorsovdoon Posted April 22, 2021 Posted April 22, 2021 Very nice work again. I like how you clear painted the turn signals in the headlights, they look great. Lots of nice detail on this, like the wheels showing how the alloy dulls differently to the centre caps. Nice.
e30lover Posted April 22, 2021 Posted April 22, 2021 Looks very realistic! Black on red is my favorite color combo.
