AMT68 Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 Mid 90's release of the 1/25 scale Buick Riviera painted in Tamiya TS-58 Light Pearl Blue and top coated with Testors Glosscote. The drivers side mirror is from an old Monogram GTO kit since this kit only contained mirrors for the custom build.
Snake45 Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 Very nice, very clean build! Well done and model on!
bisc63 Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 Wow! I'm not a fan of most pale blues, but that color on that car with that interior just works SO well! Well done, very well done!

I always liked the light blue metallic paints on late '60's and '70's era GM cars. 1 hour ago, cobraman said: Nice model, cool color. Thanks Ray.
Can-Con Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 Nice clean build. If it was a solid, non-metallic paint. it's be pretty close to the color my 1/1 '69 was when I bought it. Wish the people doing the box art had got the front lights right though, seeing them painted amber is so wrong. ?
oldscool Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 Nice work! That is one of my favorite Tamiya colors.

And yes the amber lights are incorrect (and for that matter the side marker lights also) but for some reason it's just something I always like to do. 11 hours ago, charger74 said: Very Nice Thanks Eric. 10 hours ago, Modelbuilder Mark said: Good looking model! Thanks Gareth, blackwashing the wheels made a significant difference versus my first build of this kit when I didn't blackwash.
