wrenchr Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 Looking killer, its a 66 or 67, not sure. its not as bad as I remember. I did strip the paint and tossed it into the parts box from there. Here is what I have.

Impalow Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 Absolutely beautiful Tim! That roof fits perfect, and I love the color!
espo Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 Beautiful looking color and the transition of the roof onto the rear trunk area looks like that's the way GM should have done this body style.

Bucky Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 Amazing! Perfect color for this cruiser! Every '66 ElDorado shudda had this roofline!
doorsovdoon Posted August 14, 2021 Posted August 14, 2021 Man, that's looking real nice! The roof works extremely well with it, I like that.
Maindrian Pace Posted August 15, 2021 Posted August 15, 2021 Roof swaps usually have a stylistic drawback or two, but that one looks so nice, I'm surprised that no one has built it in 1:1 yet. Just completely natural.

Just completely natural. Now that I see it done I want to do it full scale. It would be an enormous undertaking. The trunk lid needs to be shortened to start. The hinges relocated on the trunk lid . You would have to have all the inner structure inside the roof and quarters from the Pontiac too. But it would be cool.
