gseeds Posted October 27, 2021 Posted October 27, 2021 Here’s another first for me, I’ve had this kit for years but have never built this car before, I’ve always heard that this kit could be a pain to build, I did find it could be a little tricky, especially the decals, a little hard to get to lay down like they should, kit tricky? Yes ! but no worse than some other kits , I started with a pearl white base, added kit decals and a 2 k clear, dash decals came from my decal box, I’ve got just about all the other of Revell’s Ed Roth show car kits so I guess I’ll have to start building me a Roth collection, this is the Outlaw built pretty much box stock, I switched out the rear tires for some parts box spares, all and all a cool fun kit to build and looks awesome in the display case, hope you guys like!! 1
Zippi Posted October 27, 2021 Posted October 27, 2021 That turned out great Gary. Really nice super clean build. All the detail work looks fantastic. Ed Roth really had some wild idea's. 1
Bainford Posted October 27, 2021 Posted October 27, 2021 Very cool. One of the best Outlaw builds I've seen. The rear tires make a big difference. Well done. 1
espo Posted October 27, 2021 Posted October 27, 2021 Great looking build. The decals laid out very cleanly and considering their age that's really hard to do, 1
happy grumpy Posted October 27, 2021 Posted October 27, 2021 Now this paint scheme is perfect for that type of car. Outstanding. Keep it up 1
High octane Posted October 27, 2021 Posted October 27, 2021 Very nice Gary, great job on that build. 1
doctor phillips Posted October 28, 2021 Posted October 28, 2021 Very nice, Gary! You did a fantastic job on this! 1
papajohn97 Posted October 28, 2021 Posted October 28, 2021 (edited) Wow! What a beautiful execution on this old Revell kit! I’m particularly impressed with the decal job, all of them perfectly aligned and no yellowing! Yes, please build and post an entire Roth museum for us! Edited October 28, 2021 by papajohn97 Content 1
geemoney Posted October 28, 2021 Posted October 28, 2021 jus beautiful! In 1976 at the NSRA Street Machine Nationals in Tulsa, i saw it sitting outside, kinda beat up and showing cracked-in- process repairs... no one was looking at it. I was standing there thinkin to myself the sheer magnitude of it all... 1
carbuilder1950 Posted October 28, 2021 Posted October 28, 2021 (edited) @gseeds Gary, I had no idea this kit could turn out so nice as yours. I'll have to put mine closer to the top of the stack. You did a beautiful job and the paint is gorgeous, and your assembly work is spot on. Very, very nice!! Dave By the way, your pics are very nice too!!! Edited October 28, 2021 by carbuilder1950 1
Mr. Metallic Posted October 28, 2021 Posted October 28, 2021 Very clean build of a "tricky" kit. The little details you added like flocking really make this pop. 1
