That’s a healthy list!

I’m looking forward to seeing those short track oval cars especially - love stuff like that!

The list is particularly optimistic considering that in 2021 I only managed to build just over half of what I did in 2020. However I can put most of that down to a house move, now that's done and we're getting straight I hope to be more productive again.

Short oval cars are what I saw mostly when I was young. One of the UK's main tracks was not far from where I lived, within cycling distance for a few years, and I still go every so often nowadays. The early '80s cars were mercifully free of major sponsorship so should be relatively easy to recreate with paintwork. I'd like to do a few bangers as well (our equivalent of your DD cars).

By chance, the grandson of Horry Barnes came and bought a couple of scrap 1:1 cars off me recently. He's become a successful racer himself.

that spare escort shell could be used to create barry lee's last car if you mix it with a mk2 escort kit. You'd need a mongram 4 pot mustang engine though if you want it close to the real one

Well last year turned out to be nothing but problems for me so I dont think I finished anything. Ya wouldn't think the glue from one model could wreck the paint on one next it as well as the one it was on, so I'll never use gorilla glue again. My plan for this year is to mix it up a bit. Lots more variety hopefully.

1, alpha model audi rs4 stanced,

2,sqarebody step side

3,low boy model A jalopy using a monogram built up as the base

4,vw type2 pick up. I've already combined the hasegawa pick up with the recent revell bus

5,vw type 2 camper- unusually for me it wont be slammed as it a replica of the one we used to own. the new revell camper will be the base but with the roof from the bus as ours didn't have the pop top and the layout was different

6,something japanese

7,a tractor with scratch built implement

8,finish one of the many started started 30s customs

9,1/24 mk1 scirocco and mk2 scirocco

10,something american

11,kyzyll saleem type build probably based on a vw or audi

I'm sure there will be others

I have a few unfinished projects from years ago I would like to finish.

1. Big scale 32 highboy

2. 1/16 model t Coke truck

3. 1 /16 Testarossa

4. 1/16 32 roadster

5. GTO dirt track car

6. 1/16 Tamiya Mini Cooper

More I'm forgetting I'm sure...

For me my goal is to break out of the building slump I've been in.

First off I have 5 kits painted and mostly assembled.

1) Revell 1929 Roadster channel version basicalpy box stock

2) revell 1941 wiklys street rod vox stock

3) Revell- monogram pro modeler 48 ford convertble

4) Amt 1965 Chevelle El Camino with camper roof with a twist

5) Amt 1970 dodge cornet pro street modified interior removed back seat will be mostly box stock

Next up I will be going through my stalled projects for some more projects to finish. None of these are painted but have most of the fab work done. Will be listing those projects once I identify them.

In addition I will be organizing my stash. Never can seem to be able to find anything easily.

Goin g to try to avoid any new projects until I finish a few old projects.

I know what you're doing, looking for Bring Out Your Dead candidates. ?

I lost momentum last year, was on a roll in the first months, then completely stopped building (but not buying more kits).  So I will recycle my 2021 Resolutions image, with updated graphics.  I built two that aren't on this list, so things may change, because I have new subjects I want to build.

I thought we already did this. Must be the groundhog-day syndrome.

First up, and already on the bench in Az. is this one...cause I need it finished to build the real one

Building the real one is one of my primary goals as soon as I'm finished moving.

Big ol' 1/8 '32 Roadster, Channeled: As of 4/2/18, she's ...

Concurrently, I'll be finishing the full-scale version of this (90% of the engineering and design is done):

The only model I'm going to make a concerted effort to finish during that time is a die-cast bullet-nose Stude conversion for the Peking to Paris community build here.

I would like to finish the restoration of the 65 Chevelle AWB and build the 70s unbuilt Monogram 41 Lincoln I bought years ago and build the unbuilt 60s 34 Ford coupe if I can find the rest of the vintage parts I need to build it the way I want it.

Not really. BOYD seems to have died a natural death after Round 12. It was a good run--3 years and resulted in somewhere near 100 models finished that otherwise might not have been. I'm very proud of what BOYD accomplished.

We did. One year ago. ;)

Man. Time flies when you're not having any fun at all.    :D

Tell me about it. 2021 was my first "fully retired" year, and I only got HALF the number of models finished that I did in each of the last three years.

I've started telling people, "I've got nothing to do, and all day to fail to get it done."

Happy New Year! Time again to ask, "What are you planning or hoping to build this year?"

Seeing as you asked probably this one from Games Workshop

image.jpeg.f6eb580f67dddc441a3f41a0e550b16d.jpeg

I also would like to build the new Aoshima LB Walk Lamborghini. To get my hands on a new Tamiya Toyota 86 or BRZ kit.

Lastly I would like to build the Lego Pirates of Barracuda bay set.

Those 4 would keep me happy but I’ll probably only get the miniatures and Lego competed

Well, I  started one of the new Nova 3n1 wagon kits.. So far I've gathered up some Cragar mags from the amt '66 Nova SS kit.. I'll probably start on the trailer today... Hope I could finish this one up...

Posted

I have a very ambitious build schedule planned.

4. kits.

1. Peking 2 Paris Group Build, AMT 1934 Ford Tudor Sedan.

2. Cannonball Group Build Birth Year Car. MPC 1963 CJ-5 Jeep.

3. LSR Record Attempt Car. AMT 1964 Olds Convertible.

4. Gasser Build. 1950-51 Revell Thames Panel Dragster.

I know this is a couple months work for most of you (and a 2 weeks for HPI Guy), but It looms large for me.

I have all the kits. I need a Blown Hemi for the Thames Gasser, and some more Widgets, Boxes and Crates for the P2P Car, but I have everything else. The Jeep is a straight Box-Stock build, and the Olds just needs the Moon Discs from an AMT 1963 Avanti to complete, as everything else I need is in the box or, has already been Found. NOw, I just need to get them built.

Cheers!

I'm going to start 2022 with my AMT 1953 Ford Victoria which I'm currently working on.  The others will follow in no particular order.  Still haven't decided what else I may build during 2022.

I don't really plan too far in advance. My tastes are constantly changing, so what I want accomplish right now may not be what I want to work on in a couple of months.

I will say this though.

I'd like to build my A&N Resin Power Wagon.

I'd like to build a replica of my 1999 Tahoe LT.

I want to resurrect and finish a couple of zombie builds. A Western Star that is 5 years in the making so far, and an F40 that I started probably 30 years ago.

Some of you are way too ambitious! ?  I would be thrilled to get what I admit to, finished.  Here is one more, just started yesterday.

Something from the shelf? I have a ton of unfinished or flash in the pan builds that I started earlier in “21 that either fizzled or I lost mojo on.

Well I lied.? The ‘36 has been chopped and is in the works already as well as a jeep.

I just finished my second project for 2022 (one toy show rescue, one diecast Snake-Fu) and guess what? NEITHER of them was on my 2022 Build List! Although they both probably would have been if I'd found them in the garage a couple days earlier than I did. B)
