happy grumpy Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 Finished this last week. New box of an old kit . Glad they re-issued this , the prices for an old kit on e-vil bay was out of budget. Simple kit that builds without any major issue. I built it to match the beautiful box art. hope you enjoy.
Joe Lange Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 Wow! The paint and detailing are really nicely done. Gotta love old sedan deliveries and station wagons.
espo Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 Matches the box art perfectly. Interesting looking kit.
cobraman Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 (edited) Another well done model Mario. Edited January 18, 2022 by cobraman spelling
bbowser Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 Well done! Heller kits can be a little quirky but you've done a fine job.
thatz4u Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 well done, that kit would make a nice hot rod or rat rod also..
happy grumpy Posted January 19, 2022 Author Posted January 19, 2022 Thank you all for your comments. A lot of you inspire me to build models I would probably not consider but when you see those wonderful builds and ideas, it sometimes gives me that little push to go ahead and build. now on to finish this 70 1/2 Camaro full bumper , not the easiest kit to build, good thing I no longer have hair ?
Spottedlaurel Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 Really nice work on this one Mario, it looks fantastic! Any problems with it going together? I have a slightly older issue with different decals that I'm looking to build someday, probably as a 1980s style rod.

Of all the old Heller kits that I have built, this one is really simple and builds quite well, I have build the De Lahaye 135 and the Citroen 15 and believe me it's a struggle from A to Z. however, the newer kits are a different story, the Citroen fourgonette, the Renault 4gl, the newly tooedl estafette are much on par with modern kits, they build nice and they are finely detailed. hope this answers your question.
1959scudetto Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 Very nice build of this delivery van, Mario - looks definitely better than the box-art!
Smitty Posted February 10, 2022 Posted February 10, 2022 I love this model. It reminds me what a big world this is, with lots of interesting vehicles in it. I tend to focus rather narrowly on North American cars and trucks. It makes me think there must be a wealth of subject matter I’ve never even seen before, like this one. I find looking at models like yours refreshing. Great job btw!

Thanks Eric, When I started to build cars some 8 years ago after building aircraft for 20 some years, I thought I would build only American cars from the 50's to early 70's, they are still my main interest but as I built more and more I found myself having an interest for odd ball model, obscure or unpopular. I build whitherever pick my curiosity or interest. I like to look at them from a styling standpoint. Back then , styling was everything. Nowadays, efficiency and functionality is the thing. But I guess to each his own. thanks again for commenting.
GLMFAA1 Posted February 10, 2022 Posted February 10, 2022 Nice build, Reminds me of toon patrol wagon from Roger Rabbit, pretty close to the 36 Dodge greg
bisc63 Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 Very attractive model, I especially like the color scheme. Very classy looking! Well done.
Chromecop Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 Very nice build, paint is absolutely flawless and You really nailed the boxart! Mine will most likely be "rodded"....
David G. Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 A beautiful beautifully built, Well Done! David G.
89AKurt Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 You did an awesome job! I didn't know it was re-popped. Just picked up the original kit. I built the sedan but converted into my dad's Roadster, it's a decent kit.
Ace-Garageguy Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 Nice work, Mr. Grumpy...and thanks for bringing this kit to our attention. 3 hours ago, 89AKurt said: ...I built the sedan but converted into my dad's Roadster, it's a decent kit. Interesting. First thing I thought of on seeing this build was doing just that.
