After visiting an old pal, I gave him a replica of his 1971 Plymouth Duster as a "thank you" for his (and his better half's) hospitality. He bought the car through the govt. procurement program while serving in the Navy during Vietnam. After retirement he brought the car back up to snuff (including with a few non-factory, but all approved options). Today he drives the prized Duster to car shows all around the mid-west. This was my first attempt at opening doors (with proper "inside the fender" hinges) and trunk. The govt. issued dog tag is there as delivered, on the inside left fender next to the battery.

Hi Steve!

Well, I can't think of a better gift to a dear friend. Your execution is spectacular, bravo!

I'm very impressed by your door hinges. I know this variety is more work than the "hidden/suicide" type. Great!

Wow, very cool work and the likeness to the 1:1 is spot on ... Opening doors and trunk are always a special treat, and being your first makes it even more impressive yet??

Whoa, super job. Looks like you got the stance right on too.

Thank you. My pal runs period correct, but slightly larger than stock rubber, which are also included. Fun stuff!

Wow! Great looking Mopar, and great looking model! Love the understated look of the steelies and redlines. Nicely done, and a nice gesture on your part.

Beautiful looking reproduction. I agree with everyone else on the doors and trunk hinges. You even got your friends wheel and tire treatment perfectly. nice that your friend had the foresight to hang on to the car thru the years.
