1/24 Revell 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28

Good afternoon friends. The choice for the next building fell on just such a box.

I really like the Camaro in this body. I have been wanting to add to my collection for a long time.

What do we have in the box. Chrome sprue.

It’s rich details here, you can build a stock engine, or you can build a supercharger.

Rubber.

A completely incomprehensible decision for me is to make slicks from 2 parts.

White sprues.

The salon bath, although without separate door cards, is very good in terms of elaboration.

Next are the white sprues.

Decals.

I have my own modeling system and I always, absolutely always start processing parts strictly according to the instructions.

Started with wheels. I will use stock wheels. Made holes where Revell forgot.

It was became.

Further, the exhaust is combined with the rear axle.

Pornography. Cut it off.

I glued the door armrests right away, because. it will be unrealistic to do this evenly and accurately on an already painted one.

Replaced the gearshift lever with a clip.

On the right is what is given by default.

Made eyelets for seat belts on the front seats.

Well, the longest, most difficult and tedious - the body.

By default, we are allowed to make a T-top, which I absolutely do not want to see here, as well as an ugly duck tail on the back. I don’t understand in my heart who even thought that this under-spoiler is cool and beautiful on a car.

Also reduced these ugly places.

I really like the silver/blue combo, and thanks for showing us all the pieces. Good call on getting rid of the T-top.

Nice work. This kit can look good with a bit of work. You are on the right track. The body is looking very good in that metallic gray color. I've been working on one (stalled project) and I'm doing away with the T-tops as well. Will be watching; I always enjoy your builds!

That is some great effort! The way which you 'eliminated' the roof panels ('T'-Tops) is perfection.

I truly enjoy the colours you have selected for this kit; they are perfect.

My first thought, too! HAHAHA! I almost dropped that reference, but wasn't sure if that film --40 years old as it is-- found its way into popular culture in Belarus (yes, I'm assuming that Roman et al. is a life-long citizen of that part of this vast world).

I like this model. The MPC post 1975 Camaros never had the correct exhaust. Dual exhaust with no cat converter Is just wrong. I know your model will look nice.

Not to mention the continuation of the big block, which disappeared after the (stunted) 1972 model year.

Looking nice! If I may offer a constructive criticism of you chassis bottom, it's a little too consistent in its rust finishes. For example you have the floor metal exactly as rusty as the exhaust, and that is exactly as rusty as the gas tank. In the real world, the floor would have been painted and maybe undercoated as well, so would rust more slowly than the exhaust. Gas tanks are galvanized, and might dull and get dirty, but show little or no rust. You build style is clean and realistic otherwise, and I like it very much!
