rsmodels Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 This is a resin model I bought a while ago that was built. I wasn't happy with it so took it apart, stripped it, and completely rebuilt it. I like the looks of these flat tops and have a couple of others I'll be posting at some point. I finished this one last week. I'm partial to 4 door cars and wagons so you will be seeing more coming up. But there will be 2 door cars too. Thanks for looking! 5
happy grumpy Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 Great looking Buick, we don't see these often . I also ?like 4 doors, I try to get as much as I can. Great color choice .
Beamerman Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 Great Model...also nice things in the Backround i see....amazing old Box Art....
oldscool Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 Nice! I always liked the flat top GM cars, especially on a 61 Impala.
espo Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 Beautiful looking Buick. I agree with you on the GM Flat Top cars. The design makes the roof look like it's floating over the body.
rickcaps55 Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 Wow very nice build love the color combo it's a great classic from the early days of modeling.
drodg Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 Very nice build. I think I have that same resin kit somewhere in my stash.
bisc63 Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 Nice looking build. This is one of my favorite auto roof-lines, just too cool. (My dad had a '60 Impala 4-door hardtop.) Well done Buick.
Maindrian Pace Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 A thing of beauty, and the real cars are as well. Nice job.
Bainford Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 Good looking Buick. It's nice to see these alternative body styles. The gold & white work well with this body. Nicely done. On another note, I have now discovered the reason for the world Avanti shortage.

About the Avantis, they are leftovers from a project I was involved in when I worked manufacturing 1/43 white metal models in the 80's. These are samples I painted back then. I hope to finish them if I live long enough. I still have parts for 1-200 of these.
