speedy5963 Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 Good morning all, here is 59 Impala built by my pops about 15 years ago, some fitting issues but overall came out really nice. GM Red and white top, Sikkens paint and clear, lowered with chrome reverse wheels, otherwise mostly built from the kit itself 5
espo Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 Beautiful looking Impala. Great looking paint and clean chrome details. The chrome rims give it a nice period look. Funny thing, when I built this kit a few years ago I did it just like this even to the color. I did put the white paint on the top of the fins as well. This is how I remember them as well.
Zippi Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Your pops sure can build a model car. That red looks gorgeous. Overall look and stance is really pleasing to the eye.
TooOld Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Beautiful Impala , your Dad does excellent work ! A small tip on photographing your models . . . hold the camera a little farther away and you won't have the blurry areas . All of the details will look better too .
rickcaps55 Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 WOW ! thats awesome the color is perfect and got to love the chrome wheels with the wide white walls right out of a 60's Hot Rod Magazine.
NOBLNG Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Your Pops did a great job of it. Looks like a really nice job on the interior too.?
carrucha Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Nice work. The chrome reverse wheels and wide white wall tires look good.
TransAmMike Posted April 10, 2022 Posted April 10, 2022 Really pretty '59. Pop's did a great job on it!!?
customline Posted April 10, 2022 Posted April 10, 2022 This is how I wish I had painted the one I built! Absolutely excellent!
happy grumpy Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 Awesome build, it sure looks the part. When styling was everything, love those 50's and 60's American cars. Dad sure knows how to build.
Sam I Am Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Unbelievable! Can I just send him my 59-60 kits and let him build them?
