That’s awesome! Eliminating the 3-putts is key. Drive for show, putt for dough! I remember the first time I broke 80. I needed a par on the par 5 18th for a 79. Nearly jarred an eagle pitch. Choked on the 3’ come-backer for birdie and made par. However, it’s been so long since I shot in the 70s with any regularity that the next time I break 80 might just feel better than the first time.

Where did you play? I used to play at Eisenhower and I think I broke 100 one time. If there was water near a hole, I would hit it at least once.

I was good at driving the cart though :)

Tough game as you never know quite what the course conditions will be.

I had a game like that once. Third time ever golfing (and my last) using rental clubs.

Went with my father-in-law to please my wife. He didn't say a word from the last putt and on the way home.

Never ever asked me to go again!LOL

Yep, played golf 3 times with the brother-in-law and family at 2 different courses and I sucked. I related to Happy Gilmore with decent long drives but umpteen tries putting.

Strange game but I'm amazed at the people who can enjoy it with all the frustration they must endure.
