Oh, mine asks my opinion on things - but mainly as a precursor to doing something regardless.

 

"Honey, what about if we got another cat?"

"No thanks"

"Hey!  Look!  I got that cat we talked about!  Say hi to Mr Mittens!"

Major reason I'm happily single.
