Albert Moore Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 (edited) My take on the Revell 1/25 scale 1930 Ford Model A coupe. The finish was achieved by drybrushing Model Master metalizers over a gray primer (in multiple sessions to build up the finish). The tarnished look was done with copper Rub-N-Buff, applied with a sponge. A wash completed the effect. Thanks for looking. Bullybeef Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 I like the finish on this a lot, very well done! 1
espo Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 Great looking finish on the body. Like the engine details and the wheels and tires. Your girlfriend looks a little scary, but I'm sure she was just muggy for the camara. 1
happy grumpy Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 The perfect rat rod. The bare metal looks awesome. The burnt effect on the headers is a nice touch. 1
70 Sting Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 That looks fantastic. Great weathering, love the license plates inside. 1

TooOld Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 That's about the nicest bare steel finish I've ever seen on a model ! Along with the detailing and extra touches you've got a real winner there , excellent job !! 1
Hi-Po Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 WOW! That is just too cool! Your technique for the steel finish is something I will have to give a try. Very convincing finish. 1
Calb56 Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 Great paint and detail work. Definitely looks drivable. Loved the first pic with Eddie... 1
Dragonhawk1066 Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 Excellent work, very well done! I love the roof! 1
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 Proportions are right, stance is dead-on, parts choices work together...and the bare metal effect is the absolute best I've ever seen for what it's supposed to be. Truly outstanding work. 1
Jantrix Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 That is just terrific. I love the use of the sculptor's mesh for the top insert and the grill. Very nicely done. 1
Dennis Lacy Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 I’ll have to echo others that the bare steel effect you achieved is absolutely killer. I also like the other details you added like license plate collages inside, the grill and top inserts. 1
