Just finished this up. Wheels are optional ones from the kit with spinners added from the Monte Carlo kit. Paint is Duplicolor. Also my first attempt at a vinyl roof.

This is a reissue of a reissue from AMT. If you don't mind a one piece chassis and a 1965 interior. Yup, 1965. Good thing is that it has very little flash, and everything went together well other than the from bumper/grill assembly. You will need to relieve the the chassis plate and bottom edge of the bumper, where they meet, to get them to line up correctly and fit flush. You can only do this with the chassis plate installed.

One beautiful build! I love the colors on it and that you made the botom strip the same as the top to tie them together. Glad you persevered on this! I'll enjoy displaying it. What's our next Buddy build-off??

Good looking color combo and I'm liking the spinners on the wheels.  Hard to tell but it looks like the inlay on the seats is painted the same red as the body.  I'm liking it.  Great job.

Yes, I tied the red into the interior.

Nice mild custom. Good work on the vinyl top.

Thanks Charlie, I have seen other modelers use masking tape in the past with great results, so I gave it a go.

Beautiful looking Buick Sam!? Looks like the vinyl top came out nice, and I like how you painted the rockers the same color…..kinda balances it.?

That turned out beautiful. I've done a couple of these with the stock wheels but have been tempted to use the custom wheels. The spinners add a very nice final touch.

The stance is the first thing I noticed and then the great looking color combination. From some angles it almost looks like a slightly chopped top. The wheels really compliment the look of the model.
