jjsipes Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 Was trying to get some bodies painted to have for winter assembly but, this one keeps calling to me. Thus kit was bought out of a 2nd hand collection that my local hobby shop had purchased. First time trying to airbrush Tamiya X-7 Red. Primed with with Tamiya White Primer and them airbrushed. No clear, no polishing. Got the Bare-metal trim completed. Painted the interior Red and Black and used a silver sharpie for silver piping between colors. Want to try and build it completely stock but, we'll see what I can do with the wheel covers. 5
espo Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 Great looking paint and interior trim. This looks like the Pro Shop AMT kit.
atomicholiday Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 Looking good! I really like what you’ve done with the interior parts. ?
TransAmMike Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 Gotta love a '57 BelAir 2-door hardtop!! Great start and the trim work looks real good.
Oldriginal86 Posted October 14, 2023 Posted October 14, 2023 I’ve been on a red interior kick lately, yours looks nice with the color contrast.
bobss396 Posted October 14, 2023 Posted October 14, 2023 The red and black was always a good color combination on the '57. 1
customline Posted October 14, 2023 Posted October 14, 2023 I like these tri-fives with skirts. Great interior work and paint!
deuces wild Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 I like the new tool amt '57 chevy kit... Lots more detail than the older '57 tooling in my opinion... Yours is lookin' beautiful!...??
Holdon Coupe Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 (edited) Good work with the foil I'm yet to try it and the Interior looks good as well as the paint work.. Edited October 15, 2023 by Holdon Coupe
jjsipes Posted October 15, 2023 Author Posted October 15, 2023 Got my wheel and tires choice detailed up. Kit wheel cover but using AMT Parts Pak wide whitewall tires. The wheel didn't want to seat down into the kit supplied whitewall tire like they should. 3
Zippi Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 Good looking 57 Hardtop. All that bright work really makes that red pop. Great looking interior. Great start on this winter project.
David G. Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 You have some great looking contrasts with the body paint and foil, as well as the red and black interior. Very eye-catching. David G.
Steamboat Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 Wow! Excellent attention to detail and work on the foil.
