Csaba aka felhasznaaloo Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 This one turned out to be a challenge, not because it is a bad kit, just me dropping parts and messing up paintjobs. I even accidentally scratched the top of the dash, and I did not have any left of that shade of paint I mixed for that. So I threw a copy of Car&Driver in... Thanks for looking. 15
espo Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Great looking paint work, like the two-tone colors. I'll have to remember your save on the dashboard. The wide whites compliment the overall look. 1
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Always a Toronado fan. Our family owned a 68 and a 71 back in the day. Fun to see your model. 1
Mr. Metallic Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Very nice clean build. Nice photography too. 1
bbowser Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Unusual colors but it works with the wide whites! Nice job. 1
Yeah Nah Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Never seen this kit before. Great job and thanks for showing! 1
karbuildr Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Excellent build. Very nice color combo, great details, nice to see the wide whites. 1
6bblbird Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 As modelers, we try to capture realism in our builds. You definitely accomplished that! WF 1
Kah puts Posted December 16, 2023 Posted December 16, 2023 This brought a smile to my face, you seem to know the recipe for sharp looking builds, keep ‘em coming ? 1
Csaba aka felhasznaaloo Posted December 16, 2023 Author Posted December 16, 2023 Thank you all for the really kind words.

After the original whitewalls from the kit cracked, while I was trying to 'turn' them with the drill, I ended up using these tires from the AMT '70 Impala Fire Chief kit.
TonyK Posted December 16, 2023 Posted December 16, 2023 Never been a Toronado fan but this is a great looking model! The model looks better than the actual car as I remember it. 1
Claude Thibodeau Posted December 16, 2023 Posted December 16, 2023 Hi! Verrrrry nice, and your foil work on the moldings is world class. Bravo! CT 1
tim boyd Posted December 16, 2023 Posted December 16, 2023 (edited) Csaba....man this is cool. Sign of a true model car .. prevails over adversity and finishes the model project anyway. And gets a very, very sharp result anyway. Big congrats....TIM Edited December 17, 2023 by tim boyd 1
atomicholiday Posted December 16, 2023 Posted December 16, 2023 That looks great! Excellent workmanship. Can I ask if you painted the headlights? What did you use? They look really good.?
Lunajammer Posted December 17, 2023 Posted December 17, 2023 Beautiful. Super clean. The wheel treatment really stands out. 1
Koellefornia Kid Posted December 17, 2023 Posted December 17, 2023 Great looking build! The magazine on the dashboard is a nice touch up to hide inaccuracies and it adds detail to the interior. Used that solution too some years ago.. .? 1
