That is about what I was doing for almost a solid year. Now I have a car project going and it is summer. I'm doing a lot outside as of late. I even have a clear-ish dining room table, my kids are after me to do some house cleaning... not that it needs it... I was juggling many projects, insanity now that I step away from it. I need to focus on ONE AT A TIME going forward. 1
Ace-Garageguy Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 These days, 15 minutes if at all...which is rare. 2
Tim W. SoCal Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 As much as possible but not nearly enough... Too much of life's responsibilities getting in the way. 2
stinkybritches Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 If I'm lucky I will get about an hour a week. 1
Mike 1017 Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 I am also retired. I spend 4-5 hours a day building Mike 1
JollySipper Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 I usually work on something until I need to wait on things to dry......... About 10 or 15 minutes at the time, several times a day. 1
THarrison351 Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 About an hour and a half to two hours a day during the week and a bit longer on the weekends depending on other obligations 1
Rocking Rodney Rat Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 It's almost always on the weekends. I might grab a few minutes in the morning during the week. I can spend several hours each day on the weekend. Kids are now gone and my wife and I tend to be homebodies some weekends after we both are out driving around for our jobs all week and the last thing we want to do is jump in the car.... -RRR 1
iamsuperdan Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 Not enough. I might get in an hour a couple of times a week. 1 1
stitchdup Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 It varies from week to week for me. recently its been most of the day and has been for about a month but i'll prob have a break next week as my neices are home on holiday. I have got 6 cars and a tractor going to be complete in the next couple days 2
Mattblack Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 Probably about 30 to 45 minutes at a stretch max, from once a month to 3-4 times a week. 1
DJMar Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 Usually I work in small increments - gluing this, priming that, sanding this other thing - a few times a day, 4 or 5 days a week. On average, probably around 2-3 hours in a week. Every so often I will bust out a marathon (for me) session, and sit there for a couple of hours straight, working on everything I have on the bench. 1
Oldriginal86 Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 I usually run down the basement, glue or paint something then back upstairs. I did make time over the weekend to paint most of the parts to finish my Nova gasser. 2
HomerS Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 Directly proportional to which family member I'm avoiding! 3
Nacho Z Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 I typically manage 1 to 2 hours on the week nights and a little more on the weekends. I make it to the bench most nights. We are empty nesters, have a small house and yard, and I’m not much on watching TV. 1

I do the exact same thing. 1
shoopdog Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 I usually spend 2-3 hours a day every day, it’s great to be retired. 1
atomicholiday Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 I get about an hour in a couple of times during the week, then weekends it varies. Anywhere from none to all day. Just depends on what the wife has planned. 1
Keef Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 Usually I get a few minutes in the evenings during the week. On weekends I’ll get up at my normal work time and head downstairs with coffee and work on stuff for anywhere from a couple of hours to most of the day, depending upon what I have to do around the house. 1
James2 Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 I have no set days or times. And the time I spend is usually in proportion to what I'm working on and how the weather forecast is. I tend to build more in the winter and paint whenever possible. Also, I try not to have more than three maybe four models going at any given time. 1
