I just finished this MFH 1/12 Lotus 49.  It is the Dutch GP version which was the initial outing for the car.  It was also a win for Jimmy Clark.   Painted in Tamiya TS-43 Racing Green.

Oh man...that is beautiful.

Anyone who doesn't get why this was THE golden era of F1 is just blind.

I thought I was pretty much done buying car models, but I HAVE to have one of those.

That is gorgeous!   You got to love the original Lotus 49 before wings started to be applied in later years!

Simply fantastic - this is one of the most beautiful racecars ever, driven by my favorite, the great Jim Clark.

Though deadly dangerous unfortunately, the racing cars of the 60's are the best looking ever (in my opinion) and required a special, highly skilled generation of drivers.

Beautiful model. I saw the 49s race at the 1967 Canadian Grand Prix at Mosport. There were three 49s for Clark, Hill and Canadian Eppie Weitzes. Clark was on the pole and set the fastest lap. It was a wet race. Clark and Weitzes  DNF'd.  Hill finished fourth behind Brabham, Hulme and Gurney.

The simplicity of the design of these “cigar” cars is what makes them so elegant!  You do these MFH models justice, Paul!  Drop dead gorgeous!

Now that is just beautiful. My favourite F1 weapon of all time. You have done a wonderful job with this build, captured the raw beauty and elegant simplicity of the original 49 very nicely. A simply lovely build. I love it!
