Chuck Most Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 I'm calling this one done enough for now. Eventually I plan on adding some top bows draped with tattered fabric, and some broken glass fragments on top of the dash to represent the driver's side pane being smashed in. It's a curbside with a glued hood, and since I plan to eventually put in on a base sunken into dirt up to the rockers, there's only enough suspension componentry to keep the wheels in place.
Grumpa Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 This is pretty convincing Chuck. Beautiful weathering and the logs are a nice touch! I can see this parked under a roof off of an old barn.
jeffs396 Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Wow Chuck! Super convincing, awesome weathering!!!
Dr. Cranky Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Chuck, it's beautiful rust. You got it to look perfect. Nice detailing of the interior too. You clearly had a blast working on this one. It shows.
Jantrix Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 ###### Chuck, that looks rather convincing. Incredible work.
peter31a Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Wowzers! That is very good Chuck. Definitely a basket case of a fixer upper.
Sixties Sam Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Looks good! I'm eager to see it with the top bows and fabric. Sam
Randy D Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Hi Chuck, Beautiful rust job!! Love the interior work Randy
charlie8575 Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Looks like my friend Norm's '51 Commodore 6 convertible when he first got it. It's in much better condition now. Nicely done. Charlie Larkin
CorvairJim Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Chuck, this is my favorite of all of your builds that I've seen so far. You make looking BAD look real GOOD!
Renegade Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Nice weathering. Love the bullit holes. Looks like it was just pulled out of the woods.
TooOld Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Not much else I can say that hasn't already been said . . . very realistic . Only one thing bothers me , that redline tire just looks out of place . Maybe a layer of dirt would help ?
David G. Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Everything looks spot-on, great work! David G.
slusher Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Very realistic looking. Really nice work...Slusher
Guest Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 That's some great looking work on that Hudson Chuck! Lots of cool stuff to look at on this one! Well done!
W-409 Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Nice job on the Crusty Hudson! Looks like you know how to do the weathering right. Excellent job with it, very unique idea too. I'm sure that we don't see many of these built as Junkers, or Barn Finds.
Wagoneer81 Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Chuck, you are, most certainly, living up to your moniker! You are a Madman and I love seeing builds like this! Something like this would also make a nice car trailer load... Freshly rescued from the field/barn. Very cool!!!
