I feel your pain Tom. Repair wise this has been a bad year. Since my home is now 7 years old we just bought a home warranty that covers just about everything for 55.00 bucks a month with a 60.00 dollar deductible.

I got an Aoshima Suzuki Cappuccino today. I'm still waiting on some Revell kits that I got for cheap ($20 and under) to practice on before I attempt the Aoshima kit.

I also bought some Watanabe wheels and an Aoshima Autozam AZ-1 but those won't show up for a while, probably.

I found out that a lhs is closing by October. What stinks is that out of the 4 hobby shops local to me, the owner actually talks to customers and is a nice guy.

On Friday I received a built up AMT 1959 Lincoln Continental hardtop that I got from ebay. On Saturday I bought AMT's 1960 Ford Ranchero from Hobby Lobby. And yesterday I bought AMT's 1951 Chevy Bel Air hard top from Michael's.

I got a Ronco dehydrater at a yard sale for $1.50. I've got the centers on 6 of the 7 trays cut out and now I'm dialing in the new dimmer box for 105F. Can't wait to put the first body of the season in it.

Got the photoetch grille for the '60 Chrysler over the weekend, then hit Michael's with the Labor Day 50% coupon and picked up Testor's light yellow for the '61 Continental. (Was debating picking up a Badger 350 with the coupon, but thirty bucks is more than I want to spend right now.)

Big weekend here!

We bought the Sleep Number bed we'd been looking at. Should be delivered in a few weeks and maybe I can finally get a good night's sleep without sleeping on my aching shoulder.

Got an iPhone 5C which falls into that ancient technology that gee golly new to me. My wife had wanted a smart phone, so I upgraded so she could have my 4C, which is only a year old.

And I got new shoes. I didn't think I needed them but the wife says I do for an upcoming wedding. Heck, I'm just one of 200 people attending this shindig. Nobody is looking at my feet! :) Could've had 3 kits instead!

I got this in the mail. It's the NEO for Iwata Trn-2 side feed airbrush. It sprays beautifully. If you have never tried a trigger style you should. They feel better and are easier to control than a stsndard dual action. They probably would be better for newbies. It was around $100 with free priority mail or UPS at chicagoairbrushsupply.com. They have great and quick service. It does hav an adapter to use standard jars(Badger/Paasche).

Got my new set of '65 Corvair hubcaps from "Missing Link Resin". They look great!

A while back, I was lucky to find a restorable original AMT built-up, but it was missing a hubcap. I doubted that I'd ever find one, given the rarity of the kit. No problem now, thanks to Missing Link!

Very weird last night. Local news showed only a very small cloud over Citrus Springs and it was the only cloud over a 5 or 6 county area. Lots of lightning too.

I got a new street thanks to the electric company.

They are installing new transmission lines and had to repave the streets they ran their heavy equipment on.

I'm sure everyone will pay for it in their upcoming electric bills
