mademan Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 I made a 9 hour round trip today to pick up another 1:1 model 62 Nova 2 dr hardtop. I didn't really want the car, as we have 35+ 62-64s already...... but im building a 63 HT and needed some sheet metal..... this one came with brand new: Fenders/Quarters/floor pans/ floor braces/inner wheel tubs/rockers/2" cowl hood ......... Oh.... and a Heidts full bolt in subframe with mustang 2 suspension and tubular control arms.... ( my father will use that in his 63, as I already have one for mine.)

martinfan5 Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 This came yesterday, there is six packages of sheet plastic , hmm, I wonder what I could be doing( the paint has nothing to do with it)
mademan Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 (edited) No wonder there's a shortage everywhere else! Danno, heres a pic of ONE of our 2 yards, there are about 25 62-5s in there, mostly 2dr hardtops, and Posts, but quite a few 4 door parts cars and a few wagons. Hate to see these get crushed, hence the one with the roof torn off in the front row, we had the crusher man take it off the pile for us, as its a 62 Acadian, and there are lots of 1 year only Canadian parts Edited July 3, 2015 by mademan

TimJ Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 (edited) I had a nice surprise at my local model club meeting this afternoon when I was asked by one of the more senior members if I built older stuff like Model T Fords. When I said yes he produced this from under the table. I can't remember how long he said he'd had it but looking at the box, instructions and decals it was quite a few years. I checked the parts when I got home and it looks like the stock 'T' has been built, probably back in the day but all the parts for the chopped coupe are still there so I'm happy. I did ask if he wanted anything for it. When he said no I said that I'd get it built and bring it in to one of the future meetings. Edited July 4, 2015 by TimJ
Tom Geiger Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 Hi Tim- That's a great find, especially in England! While yours is probably an original issue from the early 1960s, the exact same kit has been released again recently by Round 2. Of course I bought several! Now let's see what you build!
TimJ Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 (edited) Hi Tom, I have seen the latest reissue on sale over here but never got around to buying it. As you say it does like an original issue, I'm planning on starting on it soon. Edited July 4, 2015 by TimJ
