I just ordered from Greg Wann one of his Eleanor kits. And today, while I was doing some house cleaning, this showed up on my back window ledge.

Since I finally was able to track down an Eleanor kit, another one from my Bucketlist, I'm naming her Eleanor (Ele for short)

Went to the LHS last night with some christmas money, came out with the AMT 1968 Roadrunner kit, a bottle of AllClad Chrome and a new pair of sprue cutters (the spring in my last pair broke).  Only complaint about the RR is this: For a kit that's obviously a newer tool, why did they go with the molded chrome headlights and chrome taillights?

I got one of my holy grails. 1/12 Shelby Cobra from MFH:wub:

Someone backed up a Brink's Truck. We expect lots of pics.

Grats, I'd love one too but don't think it will happen. Please share all its huge goodness with us.

Monogram #2305 '32 Cadillac V-16 Dual Cowl Phaeton and #2308 Packard Speedster Phaeton.  On eBay at $21.99 for both, plus $7.36 shipping.  So less than $15 each including shipping. SOLD!  I had both kits in the past, sold them and regretted it. So I was happy for the second chance.

Got them in the mail yesterday, both are untouched and complete, just as the seller said.

That was a 7-day auction and I was the only bidder. So I guess those Monogram classic kits are in their "unpopular" phase right now.  Subject to change any time, of course.

The MAC 1/24 scale Praga AN beer truck also arrived.  Discussed in the thread "Weird, Ugly and I Must Have It."  No surprises.  The body is diecast metal, prepainted in Flat Green.  Fenders, hood, chassis and wheels are metal, prepainted in Flat Black.  Bed is molded in green plastic with wood texture.  Includes 3 BIG beer barrels molded in brown.  I'll probably just repaint the body and bed so they match.

The tool on that kit is probably 20-25 years old.

I got great disappointment!

My Moebius '61 Ventura arrived today, & when I opened the box I found a crushed roof with a severely distorted A-pillar.

I guess my visions of a glorious "Dawn Fire Mist" '61 Ventura are on hold for just a little longer.

Terrible ending to a bad day.

I got my 61 Ventura today. Sorry but mine was ok when I opened it except for one tire, the white wall was not as bright on one as were the other 3. Got a can of Testors black one coat paint for it too.

The NNL decals from Tom G. arrived too.

I think it's just because of the way it was packaged.

Space is very tight in kit boxes these days with the high parts counts.

By the time you get everything stuffed into a standard sized kit box........well, it's kind of like the old saying, "10 pounds of BLEEP in a 5 pound bag"!

The body was on its side in the box right up against the side.

One good bump & you have a busted roof.

I've already sent a message to the boys @ Moebius hoping they'll replace the body for me.

Nothing is more depressing than spending $30.00 on a kit that's unusable before it's out of the box. :(

I'm thinking about calling the customer service number and asking about the tires. I have three that are bright white and one that is almost a grey. Looks like the tempo printer was running out of ink or paint.

I don't have any other complaints other than the instructions are a bit vague on parts placement and some sprue attachment joints are on the large side.

This is the first Möbius kit that I'm building out of the four I have in the stash, so I am not used to their layout yet. Otherwise it looks like a good kit.
