Got another Revell '67 Camaro. A while back board member Ewetwo sent me a bunch of cool old original AMT annual '67 Camaro custom parts, including hood, taillights, and two different custom grilles. The plan is to to use them on the new Revell to create a retro old-school custom, something you wouldn't even think of doing to a complete, restorable original AMT '67 Camaro.

I'm leaning toward painting the thing purple, just because I don't have a purple 1st Gen Camaro and there's no way to build a factory stock 1st Gen Camaro unless you count '67 Royal Plum. I need a purple Camaro for my Roy G Biv Camaro collection!

Interesting! I think I have a spare Mopar Pro Street chassis from an AMT '69 GTX--you're making me want to build it as a second chassis for mine. A modern "Switcher," if you will. B)

I got a tip from a regular MOPAR nut. He suggested getting a Pro Street Super Bee kit. He said it has all the other parts needed to fit the floor pan to the Coronet plus that kit also has the experimental Hemi. Made sense to me.

And for the ultimate sleeper...that Pro Street chassis is almost a drop-fit under the AMT '77 Dodge 4-door police/Batman/etc. I think it just takes a little fiddling at the front end. I mocked up that combination a long time ago and it didn't look hard at all.

Christmas in September here. Thanks to the heads-up in the Ollie's thread, I came home with 2 AMT Deoras and a '71 T-Bird, plus an MPC '75 Vette Roadster. All for $9.99 and all great parts fodder at that price.

In off-topic 1/35 scale military, the fe-mail carrier dropped off a Free Time Hobbies order: the AFV Club M-54A2 5-ton truck, and the Roden Opel Blitz Bus "Staffwagen."  Roden has done 2 other 1/35 scale Blitz buses, both with regular bus-type passenger seats.  The Staffwagen interior is configured as a command bus, with radios, map tables, Enigma machine etc.

Threw out a lowball  Buy it Now offer and got a full set of chrome from the '65 Riviera kit:

Love those sweet wire wheels; plus the slotted wheels are just the ticket for the Surf Woody to replace the incorrect pebble-finished ones in that kit.

Try this:

Did you receive a notice that your stuff is in the ISC at JFK? I had a package sitting there for almost three weeks. They're idiots.

Well if your package has been "Processed Through the ISC" as far as the tracking goes, and then it disappears, that means USCBP has a hold of it - and they'll give it back whenever they dang well please.  Packages don't hang out at the ISC, there's no room considering the 2 way volume relative to the size of the facilities - I worked hauling mail in and out of the Chicago ISC (at O'Hare) for several years, most days you'd lose an hour or more just in line waiting to dock the truck into the building, Christmas time  is sheer insanity.

Well, mine did. The package I had sitting at ISC for almost three weeks was sent from the Czech Republic. Then, it was transferred to the Metro NY Distribution Center in the East New York section of Brooklyn before it finally made it to the P.O. in my neighborhood.

Yeah the leg to Customs is never actually put into tracking.  If people knew what did or didn't get secondary screenings they'd be able to avoid it.

What did I get today?...…..the shaft from the freakin  N.Y. postal service,  they have no recollection of the tracking number to my Aoshima Countach.

Dann...Man I am sorry to hear that brother...hope you get something for it from them.   I had a James Bond kit that just disappeared in flight from the U.K. awhile back...???

Mike... I wonder if the MPC 75 Vette glass and post frame would fit a MPC 68 Vette roadster promo..???

I've seen a lot of good scores posted here, but this has to be one of the best,  especially since they are all vintage kits. Enjoy. :)

Imperial is in great shape, and a hardtop. Wanted the 1963,but sometimes you have to compensate.

Look forward for these to arrive.

May I ask where you got those?

Got in a Corgi Aston Martin James Bond DB5 first version.  Has the changing license plates, rubber tires, etc.  Needs a little love, but it's in pretty decent shape.  I had one when I was about 6 and lost it.  42 years later...
