That green 1500 has a great bed cover in it. Only kit that had it. Nice score Kelson

Steve you couldn’t walk on eggshells if you tried. :) You brought politics into the thread. I’m not offended you parrot misinformed nonsense. It’s hard for many to empathize with less fortunate.
Only request some would like would be a better spaced signature. Waste of electrons for that much real estate when one line or two would sufficed. ???
Thanks in advance.

Picked up some Tamiya-kit-box themed beer after doing a double take in our local supermarket ?

I was like “WAIT are those Tamiya kits?!  SWEET!  Oh no, it’s just beer.

WAIT, is that beer?  Sweet!” ??

Glad it bothers you.

I'll work on adding more.

Sigh, not even a beer drinker and this is a tempting purchase...

I did get one of these today, still sealed.

Never seen before myself.  If you have a build post I will be watching!

Of course!   That is if Wuhan Red Death doesn't get me. ?

Funny, I was just checking out Mercedes kits on eBay, thought crossed my mind.  There is another version too.  But I have enough models.

The above is a wonderful kit. It shows what a great job JoHan could do designing kits. Plus, I like their choice of subject here. That is one stunningly beautiful coupe. Both in real life, and model form. Enjoy Mark. I hope you show us your model when your done.

Japanese beer? Or American beer?

That’s funny. And reasonably cheap

What scale is the beer?

It's this thing right here!  Released about 1970, I think.  If you go to eBay "Completed Items" and search for "der Guber Wagen," a couple of them will come up.  None are for sale on eBay right now.

Here's the box art, and a random build-up I found on the Internet:

Never seen that kit before. Love seeing your flea market finds, Mike!

In from UpScale Hobbies, nice to find a place in the U.S. with the new 6R4s with the prices of International Shipping and how much of a bath the U.S. money dollar takes converting to a Euro.

Sorry Snake, but I don't take well to personal attacks over an off the cuff joke, but I'll withdraw and let him continue to pontificate if he wishes.

I agree, I opened it up, and was SOo very impressed. It almost looks like 1/24 scale to be honest, but then again, it may have just been a MASSIVE car in 1:1. I recall the first time I saw an Auburn speedster in person..I was blown away by the size.

Thinking of hitting the new ollie's up nearby see what they have. I don't think there are many modelers in se CT actively seeking kits, well see I'll post my finds . Red rod might just have to come home at 50 bucks lol

Thanks!  The virus has clobbered our local flea markets like everything else.  But they are coming back, slowly.

One of my best finds is still the MPC "Gangbusters" '32 Chevy panel truck.  The seller said he bought the contents of an old hardware store in GA. Back in the 70's the store closed down and everything in it was put in storage.  Then left alone until he found it.  That was the only kit in all the stuff.

Being a Model A guy, I collect all the Model A kits I can find. Snagged this off an auction site for a reasonable price, even more so when it came with an extra body & fenders! The last one I bid on went for $76, I paid way less than that for this one.

I didn't know the GTX was out yet! Where did you get them? Did they by any chance tool a new rear bumper ('72 style) for the Plymouth?

That El Camino is a gem of a kit as well!

The Rodder's Journal #77 Winter 2017     Eddie Dye roadster feature.

I started a model of the car a few years back when the Revell '29 Ford roadster came out, as the curve of the decklid and rear quarters is better than AMT's fine old classic...and the Dye car is so perfect to my eye, every little line needs to be right to do it justice in scale.

Anyway, when I found RJ had a feature article on the restoration of the real car, I had to have it for reference.

I found out this existed while in the 'movie cars that haven't been kitted' thread. I had to get it!

20200918_101724.JPGAlso got this '71 T-Bird and another Buick Electra. I love the Electra kit, although a very worn out mould it builds up into such a nice looking model i had to get another!
