Being new to Large scale I bought a 1/8th Golden T kit off Ebay. (not this one,)

Turns out it is a Double kit. Box contained two of everything. 20250415_133545.jpg.a215e20bf76eacac6b520184a61ef390.jpg20250415_134013.jpg.7cf5c0a1446b9ac2499d0651ba5fa19a.jpg

Nice find, are they supposed to come with 2 of everything?

The bodies from these kits can be used to build a big drag clone... I have a couple also....🙂👍

The latest edition of Fine Scale Modeler arrived recently, which contains my '64 Bonneville.

This should be the end of my magazine appearances for a while. :P

Got this printed 1957 Lincoln Premiere yesterday.  Like a lot of resin and printed stuff from the '50's it scales out between 1/26-1/27 but considering the subject matter it really doesn't bother me.  I'd rather smaller than 1/25 than larger.  The bumpers were printed with the body which will be different when it comes to chroming, but I won't have to worry about fitment.  Really nice and crisp and actually includes scripting.  Now I need to find donor parts 😉!

Wow a '57 Lincoln; That would be cool to build. I really like the 1:1 cars, especially this pink an black one. Can't wait to see whatcha do with this model.

Nice, I looked at that printed body also, but it wasn't exactly like the '57 Premiere that my dad once owned that I would like to replicate.

Might be because the car looks to be a '56, not a '57. Still the same cool body style, just shorter fins and dual headlights instead of quads

You're right about the photo being a 56.  Really close except for what you pointed out.  This printed body is overall ok, but the roof is probably the most obviously wrong thing IMO.  The backlight is too small and the roof almost looks chopped.  If this was styrene I might try and correct it but I'm not sure how I'd go about it with the printed resin.

I noticed the roof on that was quite wonky; I’m sure there’s a way to get it looking better

Picked up a few things the last two weeks, one was a Malone rig on sale at Hobby Lobby, then my LHS had the ST VW finally in stock. And lastly, the Pyro Beach Buggy came from our annual Model Car Club auction! It is so goofy that I just had to have it!

I like the odd, unusual kits.  Didn't really expect to find this on courtesy of Atomic City!  Only things I know missing is the directions.

Attended a local show, here, today. It was in a Hobbytown, and the had an Albion Alloys rack. I picked up a tube of their telescoping brass tubing, in .3, .5, .7, and .9mm sizes. Honestly, it's very difficult to even see the bore, on the .3mm tubing! But, hey, it's .3mm tubing! I also bought a package of 1mm aluminum tube. I love it when I find hard-to-find scratchbuilding materials, in the wild! I also got this 3-D printed stuff, as a door prize/raffle drawing. I've bought some of it, over the years, too. It's impressive-looking, to be sure. For some reason, I just keep scratchbuilding stuff, and the resin sits!😄 I also brought home a Top Ten award for my C/A Badman!
