WillyBilly Posted June 23 Posted June 23 1/16 scale 1984 Corvette. The only scale I did not have. The engine is started, but I will disassemble it. and build it correctly. The rest of my models are 85s with TPI. This will be the only one with Cross Fire Injection. 5

Bought it for $24.59 with the 40% discount. It looks like a really nice kit. A lot of parts though. It took me about 1 1/2 hours to inventory the parts. I just picked up this kit today at my local Hobby Lobby. I never did order one online so I was hopping they get them in. 2

PatW Posted June 24 Posted June 24 (edited) So, just won on ebay UK, We have a programme on TV called Shed and Buried, where they look for old cars, trucks, tractors, motorcycles and auto memorabilia, to buy, restore and sell on. This era of motorcycle is the sort of thing they find, get started, carefully restore, not to damage it's patina, but to safely be able to ride on the road for pleasure! Edited June 24 by PatW 8

Matt Bacon Posted Thursday at 11:36 AM Posted Thursday at 11:36 AM (edited) You'll have to take my word for it, but the NSX paint is actually a deep bluish green with a fine pearl flake. I've been inspired by @galaxygs Tamiya GT3RS finished in a single color without carbon, which looks great, to get on with mine. This is not that color (his is a tasteful ice blue metallic). I'm sure this will elicit a love it or hate it reaction (unless _everyone_ but me hates it...), but the Porsche dealers opposite IKEA in Sheffield has got a 911 Carrera cabrio in this color, and in the flesh it's really striking and different: https://www.jct600.co.uk/new-cars/porsche-911-2dr-pdk-convertible-cartagena-yellow-metallic-automatic-petrol/id-12634/ It'll stand out in my display cabinet, that's for sure! best, M. Ace-Garageguy Posted Thursday at 12:18 PM Posted Thursday at 12:18 PM I got the partial refund I'd asked for on the Testors 246 Dino kit that had a warped body and broken roof pillars and windshield, so that's something. 5

The plan is to make molds of it, and put copies in several Stratos kits. But it'll be a while. I seem to remember that Model Builders Warehouse had a beautiful engine kit, but if so I missed it, and they're gone now. Edited Thursday at 12:50 PM by Ace-Garageguy

Correct wheels for the Charger Pursuit, a '71 Duster grille, and a grille for whatever year builtup D100 I have in the restore queue. I think it is a '74, but I have to find it first. I almost bought those wheels, but here in NH, the ones that come with the kit are the ones on our state cruisers. Unmarked use the same, or the full hubcap. I am not sure if it based on year or option package. Edited Saturday at 12:54 AM by WillyBilly 1
