Looks like a simpler build than the more recent Heller Renault 4 I also have. They'll make good companions and remind me of the things I've seen who on holiday in France. Maybe fill in the 3rd window and downgrade it to match this one?

Got a shipment from HobbyEasy in Hong Kong after Customs decided to finally grant it passage. It was in Customs 2x longer than it took to ship over to the U.S. *shrug*

Contained the 4 most current decal releases from S.K. Decals -

My wife’s aunt gave me this - still sealed in the packet from nearly 50 years ago!  Don’t know much about it - resisted opening it though ?

Hit Hobby Lobby on the way home and picked up another Revell 29 and one of these - I’d been wanting to do a pickup for a while:

I know I am not supposed to covet....but DANG !

What a score, and yes, it must be a temptation to not open it. It would be for me.

I actually don’t know much about this kit - I’m not really a 1/32 kinda guy...couldn’t find much online about them either.  It’s cool though!

FWIW I don't believe any of those 1/20 scale kits ever saw a reissue after their initial runs by the 1990s Craft House Lindberg. Don't think the J. Lloyd folks ever did any of them, so they wouldn't have ever been at Ollies. Now Round2 has reissued a couple of them since they took possession of the Lindberg tools.

For sure AMT has reissued the 1/20 Toyota and Nissan pickup kits.

I picked up the 1/20 scale "Baywatch" Toyota long ago, for a really low price. So long ago that I can't remember where.  I removed the parts I wanted and dumped the basic kit on eBay, in a lot with some other turkeys.  I only wanted the "Lifeguard" decals, roll bar/lights and the flotation devices. (Not a reference to Pam Anderson.)

I never watched an episode.... So, I wouldn't know....

Actually found a copy of Scale Auto, August edition, in WH Smith’s, York.

First time I have seen the mag anywhere in the UK for years.

Anybody need a 1/25 scale rolling goldfish stall?

I didn't get this today, but just saw it on eBay and thought some of you weirdos might like it.

It's listed as a product of "MicroAce."  That's the latest name for ARII/IMEX/Whoever.  The company that did the 3 1958 Cadillac kits back in the 1990's.

There were a whole series of these Japanese food/toy stall kits released long ago under the ARII name.  Some were in 1/25, another series was in 1/32 scale.

Back when 1/25 figures and 1/32 civilians were very hard to find, I used to pick these up.  They were always cheap, I don't think I paid more than $5 for any of them.  Some of the kits came with useful accessories like buckets, mail-boxes, dogs, etc.

Nice one. Is Alpha Model the only company with a Ferrari license now? Feels like ages ago Revell, Tamiya, Fujimi, Italeri etc. released a new Ferrari kit but I could be wrong.

Fujimi and Tamiya still have theirs, although neither has produced anything new with them in the past 18-24 months.  But you have to have one active just to keep reissuing/restocking and selling existing kits.

Pleased to get one of these at  decent price at last, especially as it's an early issue:

1:24 Fujimi Toyota MR2 kit by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr

Bonus was it coming with the original sales invoice, when it looks like it was sold new by a Toyota dealer for £4.89 in 1987. It even had its own part number, and I have a Corolla GT with the following part number.

It's a nice kit, even has some engine detail.

I think I remember someone mentioning that this is the kit Revell re-boxed back in the late 80's. If so, it is a nice kit.

Ah, that's interesting. I vaguely reall seeing the C&D version, didn't realise it was the Fujimi kit though. Makes sense, I have several Revell Europe kits which I know are reissued Fujimi.

It's one of the few I'd consider building basically stock, OOB. Wheels and tyres might need a bit of attention however, they're a bit too wide and the box art above shows them sticking out too far.
