These were what was already on the way. It's funny. I wasn't expecting the Caddy engine but it replaced the one I just gave you last week. Lol

Went to Hobby Lobby the other night to use my 40% off coupon and initially didn't see anything that interested me in the kit aisle. Then I turned around, looked up, and saw a Revell 2017 Ford GT on the "overstock" shelf. None on the regular shelf so I grabbed it. Makes we wonder if an employee stashed it there for themself or  a buddy.

Hobby Lobby has some things on sale at 50%.  Saw on a Facebook post another brand of these rubber spatulas, to use for putty.  Got another brush just because.

Hobby Lobby seems to have stock of the Revell 29s again, so picked up a couple of those and some paint I’d been wanting to try

Stock them up they may be hard to find soon...

Got one or two things on their way to me at present, but post is starting to slow up. I handed one kit over to be wrapped-up as a present (they never know what to get me otherwise) so I've had to forget what that was.....

In the meantime, these arrived:

No immediate plans for it, need to get a few other things done first.

This was fairly cheap compared to what they usually go for, as it had been started. I bought it to build and I have some spare parts leftover from my current Silvia build so I'm not bothered. As a bonus it came with a set of Fujimi Volk accessory wheels which will be handy for something else, they usually fetch a little bit on their own.

Contemplating doing a SilEighty conversion to it, as the front end of my sun-damaged Silvia looks OK (it was only the middle portion that got warped).

Paint Erasers? What are they? And how and where do you use them?

I think, instead of metal blade, these can smoosh down putty.  Otherwise, I'm not an artist, no clue.

I won an auction for 2 older Monogram kits for $25.00 One was a Darrel Waltrip Combo, the other was #3 Wrangler combo. While these are probably not the most accurate kits, I thought they would be good fodder for bashing, etc. Imagine my surprise, when I picked them up and found they were very heavy for combo kits. The boxes were sealed with packing tape. I got home, opened the boxes only to find built up models, highly detailed, ( wired & plumed) detail painting, a total of 20 different models of various cars and drivers. The quality of the builds is so good, I don't want to or need to disassemble them as I could do no better.

Thanks for the heads up! For those unaware of it, this specific Revell '29 roadster is the "Common Kit" designated for that category class in the last-ever 2022 GSL contest in Salt Lake City, where all entrants "may build the entry in any style or vintage.  Regardless, all entered models must be based upon the parts from this kit.  Entrants may also: i) swap parts from any other kit(s); ii) use any aftermarket parts (except for complete aftermarket resin bodies); and iii) use any building materials, techniques or technologies without restriction."

Kicking around the idea of doing an offbeat re-interpretation of a famous old show rod, so better for me to snag one now at a discount price rather than later under ebay "rare" marked up status.

Be careful with those decals the ink rubs off easily.

I went to Hobby Lobby this afternoon, it was a mob scene.   Found this 1/16 57 Chevy kit.  Too bad they didn't brace up the windshield frame as well on the 57 T Bird kit.  Looks like a good kit overall.IMG_6572r.jpg.8fa6d00eae11a30c99dee672a0a47f60.jpgIMG_6573r.jpg.b4efd6debc7d0d0184afbdf2b89aca5d.jpg
