cobraman Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 I hate when people do that. Also bad is when they put it in a bag.
ksnow Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 Almost unbelievable that kit made it through USPS unscathed.
TransAmMike Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 Came in today from Lex's Scale Modeling (ebay seller) Hood almost a perfect fit, just a tiny bit narrow. Nice smooth finish tho. The underside will need some cleaning up.

mikemodeler Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 Needed some Tamiya paint, found it at Hobbylinc. Great prices and service. The pickup was a bonus!

I also bought the outlaw '55 Chevy hood as part of my order as I have ideas for both of my '55 Chevy kits. The one I got like yours is a bit narrow as well, but the outlaw hood seems like a better fit overall, it just needs more trimming. In all I've bought 10 hoods from him all total over 3 different orders.

Poor quality items like this should never be accepted as "good enough" or "I can fix it". No, whoever made it should finish the master properly, then cast copies of it.

kelson Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 Mailman dropped this off, can't believe how expensive these are,as they're not rare.?

cobraman Posted March 26, 2021 Posted March 26, 2021 I found them on the bay. I think i was searching gasser decals.
Snake45 Posted March 26, 2021 Posted March 26, 2021 Slixx has a number of similar decal sheets, but not that one specifically: https://ecsvr.com/slx/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=1&subcat=93&cat=Gassers+minis

Good ‘nuf isn’t good ‘nuf!
iamsuperdan Posted March 26, 2021 Posted March 26, 2021 Found this one on EBay. Ridiculously cheap. Shipped and landed here for less than half the cost of what I see these normally go for. Maybe people see the box and think it's a toy or something. Despite the goofy cartoon graphics, inside is a perfectly good kit of a 964 Carrera. It's an Aoshima kit, but it looks identical to the Fujimi Carrera 2/4 kit.

mchook Posted March 26, 2021 Posted March 26, 2021 I got this pile & a bunch more, but haven't gone through it all yet. There's still more to pick up too. The KW box was full of Plastruct stuff and the other is just parts. This all probably would have been thrown away if I wasn't there to help them move, it all looks like junk to my friends brother & mother. They try to keep any model stuff or old toys set aside for me but the plastruct stuff looks like nothing to most people who don't build.
