Ray those wheels have been in that kit for ages, back to the mutant Talladega issue with Orange car on box. I looked, none for you. Post in parts I guess.

Yesterday was the IPMS Model Expo at Gillespie Field and I was trying not to buy anything, but, I could not pass up these deals! How often do you see vintage stuff for only $10 bucks!

Picked up a couple of Faust Specials! But now cool! ?

Um... I resemble that remark! :)

Nice picks! I have built the Cavalier, and the Escort is in the stash.

I'm pretty honoured that my name gets attached to such Malaise-Era awesomeness!  Thanks for the shout out guys!

I have hunted for a few years for exhaust stacks to build a tribute to my dad. Thanks to " olmadmodeler" for sending me the perfect parts. Now that i have them i will try to get some pics of the build posted.

Came today with the postman (partially started, but complete) - a very simple slotracing body with a few additional parts to create a curbside model.

Box says FROG/amt, won this 2 days ago on ebay.

I’d love to see what’s in the box. I hope you post more pictures.

My 1/12 Otaki Lamborghini Countach LP500S showed up today. Got it for a reasonable-ish price on eBay because the kit was unboxed but complete with all parts in sealed bags. Looks to be perfect. Definitely a project for fall/winter when I can spray outside without worrying about the humidity. This is going to be a fun one... I'm always a bit leery when some builders talk about how easy the kit goes together and others talk about what a nightmare build the exact same model is. I've never built an Otaki/Doyusha model either so I'm looking forward to seeing how it stacks up to 70's Tamiya standards. I don't think the "wings and flares" cars are quite as pretty as the early ones but they have a real magnetism to them that I'm looking forward to capturing, and it'll be an awesome companion for my recent 1/12 Tamiya Porsche 934. If I keep building in 1/12 I'm gonna need a bigger house...

I consider Hobby Lobby having mostly the same kits for a long time a good thing, because it gives me time to buy my more desirables and get my less desirables later. The one near me hasn't increased the prices on kits yet like others have said, and I picked these up. Still a few not quite must haves that I would like to get later. 20220716_132058.thumb.jpg.a52c9002d53881b8b608c0e86b5dd72c.jpg

I've been doing the same thing the last couple months, picking up kits that are parts goldmines and/or that have chassis I'd like to slap under something else.

I've gotten additional copies of the '63 Stingray, '53 Ford PU, '68 Camaro, and '66 Nova PS.

Yesterday I picked up another '67 Chevelle PS.  Might want to stick that chassis under a 442 someday.

That Dodge pick up would look good on the Moebius ramp truck frame !

I've been trying to avoid buying more stuff recently, and I haven't built anything for a few weeks, but I couldn't resist this one:

The side window frames are a completely separate plated oulding, so there's minimal foil work required.

Super pich-up kit! I wish we could find these in the UK, and the manufacturers produce some relating to the latest Craftman's trucks.

In today’s mail. One box, jammed  packed with all sorts of cool stuff. I only wish I could get my hands on a stock ‘64 or ‘65 Falcon Sprint. Heck, I’d even settle for a stock ‘63. In the mean time, the funny car version will still be fun to build. So overall I’m happy.

As I dug farther into the box, I found the instruction sheets. Apparently that “Craftsman Plus” ‘64 Galaxie most be a hard kit to build? They gave me two copies of its instruction sheet. Or maybe they heard how bad of modeler I am, and figured with two instruction sheets, I might be able to build one good model. Either  way I’m in trouble with the other two kits. As I got only one instruction for each of those two. ?
