unclescott58 Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 (edited) Our local model car club had its annual swap meet tonight. Picked up AMT's recent reissue of the '37 Chevy coupe, plus their new red-line tire set. But, the big score for me tonight was a complete unbuilt AMT 1967 Ford Falcon Sport Coupe. Both the kit and the box are in very good shape. This was one of those "holy grail" kits for me. Got it at a price that was pretty good too. Scott Edited April 10, 2015 by unclescott58

Scott Sweet...seems any of the '66-69 Falcons are hard to find in decent shape..so often they seem to have hacked up rear wheelwells and cut out b-pillars..
ChrisBcritter Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 And even when they're cut up, they're expensive - and some of them have no stock build option. I passed on some kits that were at the Morton Grove Salvation Army store yesterday - three sealed Lindberg '64 Color Me Gone Dodges; they want $22.90 each plus an opened Pocher Alfa Romeo that I didn't bother looking at when they said they wanted four hundred bucks... I go to thrift stores to avoid paying retail.
64SS350 Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I think the thrift stores are checking online prices, I've noticed many things in those stores are pretty steep if new or close to it. On Monday I brought home my second truck load of kits, parts and some diecast....anyone like aircraft??

Soon, I'm going to have start searching for some of those early 60s Pontiacs myself. I love that '60 Dodge kit! Good luck with detailing the interior upholstery! Steve
mustang1989 Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Holeee shmokes!!!! That interior would give me headaches for days trying to replicate that!!
Roadrunner Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 That car looks utterly wicked, Steve. Just beautiful.
Pete J. Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 (edited) I just love it when UPS rolls up with a Hobby Link Japan box for me! Edited April 9, 2015 by Pete J.

I would hate to have your yearly bare metal foil bill. But I sure like your subject matter.

I have a '61 Bonneville, but I've just recently started tentatively looking for '63 & '64 Bonnevilles & a '64 Grand Prix. I'm sure I'll find them eventually. Steve

ranma Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 My Modelhaus 92 caprice wagon came actually yesterday, very nicely done body but I'll use a alternomad interior pan for it to avoid all the chassis cutting.

Foxer Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 (edited) I went up to my LHS to get some paint mixing bottles and came across this ... has small K&S Shapes of various shapes, sizes and lengths. In brass, aluminum and copper. This will be nice for all those little pieces I'm always needing. There's many very small ones buried under the big pieces in this box I found. PatW Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 (edited) From ebay UK.................... And about 10 days ago from Omnimodels in the usa in just 6 days......... Edited April 11, 2015 by PatW
StevenGuthmiller Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 It's filthy & disgusting & the thieves have made off with a few "unusual" parts, but it's still my baby & I'm hoping for a good restoration process. Steve
