Some eBay sellers only ship once a week (but that is usually stated somewhere in the listing).  Plus like Les mentioned, they don't see your payment right away.  We have became a "I want it yesterday" society.  Remember the days when you received a catalog in the mail, ripped out and filled the order form from the catalog, then snail-mailed your order with a personal check, then waited 4-6 weeks for the item to arrive? And no tracking.

Or those C.O.D. orders where you had to wait home for the UPS driver to arrive with your package so you could pay them to get the package?   My how things have changed. I guess I became a grumpy old guy.

Yes and no. The delivery drivers around here just leave the package on the top of the front steps and don't rig the doorbell or anything else to alert you that you have a package. At least they seem to through it under hand since the damage seems to be minimal. Since we don't come and go through the front door we don't know if anything is there until we go online and check the tracking and find out it was delivered. Anything on our front steps is clearly visible from the street.

Mecam Auctions.  Boring!!  Somebody spent $400,000.00 on a 1969 Trans Am and the right rear brake light wasn't working.  It was white with blue striping.

None of my deliver drivers (UPS, USPS, FedEx, or DHL) come to the door and ring the doorbell.  Back in the day they all did, and if you were home, they handed the package to you.  Now they only do dthat if signature is required.

I don't remember of this started during the COVID pandemic or before, but it has been like that for a while.  It's too bad because it was nice to have the package delivered in-person.  And especially now, with the new sport of "porch-pirating" it would be good for the drivers to deliver the package directly to the recipient.  Just like other things, this is not as nice as it used to be.

The other problem is that during inclement weather (rain or snow) the delivery drivers just leave the packages sitting outside.  In the past they used to put packages in a plastic bag so they wouldn't get wet.  I recently had couple of packages left like that in the rain getting soaked (as I wasn't home).  I have to say what every past generation used to say:  Back in the past things were much better.

I used to roll my eyes every time I heard that, but as I'm getting older I'm noticing the same thing.  Sad, but true.

Trying to heat my coffee back up and the microwave dies . ☹️

Did your coffee cup have a metallic design on it. That's always good for a short light show.

Food Price Inflation.

I'm in California. Had to buy Eggs yesterday. Two Cartons of Eggs, 18 count, 8.68 each. Total, $17.36. 48 cents an Egg!

Just Outrageous.

At this rate, I'll need to save my rapidly dwindling paycheque for food, not models...

After seeing Steve's beautiful Chrysler Turbine build. Decided to do my EzBuild Turbine. Primed it. Opened a brand new can of Testors Fiery Orange spray paint. When I opened it the nozzle was loose in the top. So I tried to press it into place so I could paint. Paint sprayed everywhere and I could not put the nozzle back on. Hmm. I took a nozzle off another Testors paint can and tried that. Same thing. What is it with Testors and Model Master paints? I have numerous spray paint cans from both companies (I know they are both owned by Rustoleum now) and I'm having issues with the nozzles and/or the cans leaking goo around the bottom seal of the can. What's up with this? Are they out so sabotage the modeling community?

What irks me are these EBay sellers that take forever to send your item out in a reasonable time frame. I won and payed for an item on Jan.7th. It still hasn’t been sent out. Come on. Really? Will not buy from them again.

i think thats down to ebay payment system since they changed it. private sellers have to wait much longer to get paid if your using paypal and i know i wouldn't send until the money is in my account

I do about 250 sales a month on eBay. My stuff goes out quickly. Three days after payment at the most!

I have eBay Managed Payments instead of PayPal. I’ve done this for a year and not a glitch yet.  I have my account set to pay me into my bank account once a week.

DHL, for some reason that i have yet to figure out, they keep losing/cant deliver a kit i ordered back at the start of december. I'm sure the shop i purchased it from are getting irked by it as well. Lets see if it turns up on the third attempt but i'm not going to hold my breath. Some other couriers are slow but it does arrive while dhl cant seem to get items past the north of england.

I bought it and paid for it on the 7th Tom. Still nothing. Tracking says it's still waiting for the item.

Nah. Just dwerps who know pretty much nothing about anything, thinking they can make things they don't understand "better" by endless tinkering, and removing most every bit of reliable functionality in the process.

Can't help but feeling as if everyone is just pushing the prices of goods up till people stop buying. Now if they would just do the same thing with our pay checks.

Tom. I tried to list on eBay but eBay wanted me to charge $12.95 for shipping when it was only going to cost the buyer $5.00. I couldn't figure out how to change the shipping price so I just gave up. I had kits on Marketplace until yesterday. Seem this group of people focused on my page and thought it was funny to have them all ask me for the same kit. Took a while to figure it out but I started checking their profiles and they either just made a Facebook account. Or you couldn't see anything. One of them had 4 accounts. So I have to figure out how to do the shipping on go on eBay. People have become just horrible the last few years.

I had to take my wife to Albany this morning to get a covid test so she can go back in for Chemo treatments on Friday. On the way home I stopped at a Hobby Lobby and they had that Fiery Orange paint. Hopefully it will spray ok.

I wish you luck. I have a couple cans from 2012 that haven't started oozing binder at the bottom, and still spray fine.

In amazing turn of events,  not only Fox News but all the other news outlets are reporting the same thing.
