My Hyundai was back in the shop over the holidays. The shop I use is in the background of the above photo. They share a lot with a custom car business.

I got to talking with my shop’s owner.. Ike from the original Jungle Jim race team.. and he told me who owned the other shop.. turns out I know him and knew he was into cars, but had no idea he had a large collection and has this as a side business! All three of these are Ron’s!

This would make for an interesting model. Light enough that a single guy pushed it back into the shop!

This pickup is calling my name! I could  build this!

Saw another SVT Lightning today, black like the last one, but this time an ‘01-‘04 (had the more tubular grille, 99-00’s have a mesh grille IIRC), it was also not too far from where I saw the last one. 7C539201-D758-48B8-972A-6476B9AFB60F.jpeg.a1f026223fcf76f858f4976a29fdd150.jpeg

This is pared across the street from a Goodwill we go to. This time I brought one of my cameras, a point and shoot. I might go bac with my Nikon D3500. I am not sure of the year, but, it sure looks nice.

That is a 1967 model Super Sport. Kind of a rare find in this condition.

Don't see many Maybach's on the road. Got behind this car Friday night on my way home. At the other end of the spectrum- I'm not sure what to make of this ML 350 Mercedes.....

I don’t recall the exact sales records, but I do know that the Sport Trac spanned two different body styles, and was on the market for a total of 9 years.

If the Sport Trac was a flop throughout production, then Ford tried harder to resuscitate it than Chevy did with the C1 Corvette.

Although when the Sport Trac was in production, the Ranger wasn’t available in a crew cab configuration. Now that the Ranger is back and is available with a crew cab, and that Ford has a myriad of crossovers and SUVs, I predict it’ll either see low production numbers, or most likely, cannibalize sales from other Ford vehicles.

There was a little over 272,000 SportTracs still registered as of October.

Not everyone needs or wants an F350 diesel as a daily driver.

Remember that Ford has discontinued cars in the US, except for the Mustang. The base Maverick is pretty cheap and is a hybrid. They are hoping to attract some of the "entry level" buyers with the fuel economy, utility, and price of the Maverick.

The base Maverick is the cheapest vehicle in Ford's entire North American lineup right now.

And it's the perfect truck for people who don't need a truck. Picture it as a Ford Escape that you can take to a garden center and throw a pile of topsoil or wood chips or trees in. Around here, they're selling like crazy.

At my dealership, we sell at MSRP. No markup or price-gouging here. Even on Bronco and Lightning.

When the BMW Z8 was introduced (with huge markups), a dealer principal somewhere in the midwest USA was quoted as saying that you can shear a sheep many, many times, but you can only kill and eat it once.

What does your dealership do about "mandatory" dealer-installed stuff on the high-demand vehicles?

Wow !  That sure is not true around here. Are you having trouble getting the Maverick and Bronco ?
