Pretty sure that a K30 crew cab dually does drink (petrol) like a fish. My thoughts were that the plate was a comment on its hill-climbing ability, but maybe you are on the right track.
espo Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Crew Cab 1 ton Duelly 4X4 and I bet there is a 454 under the hood. In perfect tune, down hill, with a tail wind and a light foot you might break 10 mpg.
Rodent Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 My 77 K1500 short box 400 got 12 city, 12 highway, and 12 towing. 1
espo Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 I bought a new '74 C10 Chyanne Super short step side with the 454 and it was all in at 10 to 12 mpg. Didn't matter if it was up hill or downhill, that was the best it would do. Now if you wanted to get somewhere in a hurry it would sure do that.
iamsuperdan Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 Had this in our shop yesterday. I know what you're thinking. Whoop dee woo. A 2014 Mustang GT. Big deal. Well, not quite. Has the full drivetrain out of the Mustang as well. 5.0L Coyote V8. Plus suspension and brake upgrades, but I didn't get a good look at what was going on underneath. 1
keyser Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 Sweet! I stalled on first photo, wind wing and wipers old. I’d concluded it was ‘57 then scrolled. Nice work. Even door panels. Wow.
Suburban_Hooligan Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 a JDM situation. pretty soon there will be more Skylines in the US than in Japan. 2 1

Is this a "processing plant" to import these and sell them to new owners in states where they can actually be registered for street use?

Similar experience with our (my wife's, actually) 1982 RX7. 19 mpg highway, 19 mpg city. One of those cars I wish we still had but 2 seats and 3 in the family didn't translate well.
Russell C Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 If may be cut a day's slack on this, saw it yesterday but flat forgot to post it. It's been a feature at this lounge for many years.
gasman Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 I pass this on my mail route every day. The worlds rustiest 71-72 El Camino, the front clip is missing, but still has the hood, the roof is smashed in, and it had a vinyl top that turned the roof into Rusty Swiss cheese, this thing is buried in the woods, it wouldn’t be worth the effort to dig out,
Spottedlaurel Posted April 18, 2022 Posted April 18, 2022 (edited) A run of good weather has brought out lots of stuff locally, a little '60s selection here: This one's apparently a 3.4. Tyres look fatter than standard. This Alpine (not Tiger) sounded great This one is from 1965, but with their late '50s US styling these BMC Farinas looked somewhat dated by the early '70s when the final versions were eventually discontinued. I suppose the same can be said of the Humber above, which was replaced in 1967 or so. Edited April 18, 2022 by Spottedlaurel 1
iamsuperdan Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 People always seem a little surprised by Broncos on a dealer lot. So here's the three that arrived today. The Cyber Orange 2dr is a Bronco Badlands with the Sasquatch package. The Area 51 2dr is a more basic Outer Banks. The Area 51 4dr is a Wildtrak with the Lux package. 1
iamsuperdan Posted April 20, 2022 Posted April 20, 2022 Yeah, we delivered two yesterday. Have one more in our showroom for delivery today.
