Earl Marischal Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Getting some work done on two of my model railway layouts and spending some useful time in the sunshine tidying up part of the garden. steve
Rob Hall Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 A rainy night...very nice to hear rain at night, and a nice cool breezy morning..
Joe Handley Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 My sister got a call from Mom this morning, apparently the doctor is happy with how she's doing and the IV diuretic they have got her on to try and reduce her water retention caused by some of the other meds is working extremely, extremely well
Danno Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 I found this little guy on a heavily traffic foot path at work the other day. He got stuck on the pavement since the grass was to high for him to climb back on either side. We took this photo and returned him to the lake. No doubt born this year, literally coin size. Is that a turtleback?
Danny Lectro Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Six months ago, I was honestly near death. Today, I was able to do some household chores, get to the grocery store and had enough energy to do my laundry. To most of you, seems like easy stuff, but trust me, it's a struggle. So I'm extremely pleased to have made such progress! Now if I could just get my model building back on track. Congratulations, Wayne. I'm glad to hear that things are improving, I hope it keeps up. Today, I was pleased that I was able to light up the grill for the first time this year, even if I had to be in a little bit of a rush about it. Didn't do anything fancy, just some burgers, hot dogs, chicken thighs, and some nice chicken sausages. Hopefully I'll be able to get into slow cooking some ribs soon, and I'm looking forward to experimenting with some homemade dry-rubs.
cobraman Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Spent a nice weekend up in Sedona. It rained almost all day yesterday but we still enjoyed it. Could not take the Jeep tour due to the weather. Well. that's not really true. They were still running but the wife was not interested in getting soaked. So, we saw the Trolly tour. Still open on the sides but the wife thought she could handle that ok so we did do that. Parking was a pain do to them having some kind of art festival of some sort. Took an honest 45 minutes to find a parking space. Kind of a small space but luckily I was not driving the F-150 as we rented a 2015 VW Bug for the trip. Didn't care too much for that car, have to return it tomorrow. Today on the way home the rain Gods were good to us and we were able to stop at the "Out of Africa Animal Park. That was ok, something different to do. Had lots of rain on the way home from there. All in all it was a much needed getaway and we had a good time.
Olskoolrodder Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 I woke up,with my awesome wife next to me,and in a few minutes, will go lay down beside that same awesome wife (she's been asleep for hours,LOL,I don't [sleep] much )
oldnslow Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Got all the old fire wood burned this weekend, some of it 3 or 4 years old, probably 1/2 a cord, started trimming the big oaks in the front yard, new wood for this year.
vintagedragcrazy Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 It's amazing how nice it is to sit and talk with elderly people sometimes you hear some good stuff I sat and talked with an elderly lady at a toy show yesterday was a nice chat and she also seemed to enjoy it. Vince

With someone you love, and getting up in the morning are two very good things. Charlie Larkin
chunkypeanutbutter Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 12 hours of sleep, about to make coffee, and download some music.
Roadrunner Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 I was finally able to finalize my design of a combination model display area/corkboard wall covering to go behind my bed.
Tom Geiger Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 What pleases me? My friend Bill and I leave for GSL tomorrow morning.... extremely early! So I don't have to deal with real life until Tuesday morning!
Roadrunner Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 I just heard that some kits I traded for are on their way; I'm tickled silly.
chunkypeanutbutter Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 A new project I call the first "puttybomb."
chunkypeanutbutter Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 And I just found out Fujimi makes OZ Superturismo wheels!

Good to hear Tom, most never take the time to notice or do anything...
slusher Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Beautiful weather all week, 40's at night and 60's in the day.
High octane Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 What pleased me today is that I ran the snow-thrower out of gas, drained the fuel bowl and put it in the shed to give me more room in the garage. I also hosed the salt off the garage floor as well. C'mon warm weather! I'll be draggin' the grill out and cleanin' it real soon. so I can start cookin' outside.
chunkypeanutbutter Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Two officers came into health class today to talk about drugs. Cool dudes. Got to work a little on my models tonight after a nap and going to Wendy's for a burger.
Tom Geiger Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Having a great day at GSL in Salt Lake City! No work or grief, nothing to think about but model cars from waking to going to bed for three days!
chunkypeanutbutter Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Tom, thanks for the additional mail! These decals will find their way on some things quite soon, I hope, and maybe I'll be able to attend NNL sometime!
Scott Colmer Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Finished my first semester of getting a teaching credential. It was not easy. It was not pretty. But I got it done, while working a regular job the requires a lot of hours. Changing careers after 50 is work! I have two weeks before summer school starts. I worked on a model for the first time in months. It felt good. Actually, anything but studying feels good.
