Finished my radiation treatments yesterday ( all 51 of them ) , hopefully now my system will stabilize and I only have to deal with the hormone shots side effects ( hot flashes ) . Maybe I can get back out to the bench , yeah !

Sounds like you're on the downwhill side, Robert.

Thanks guys , it seems like forever but the end is in sight , another year and a half of shots , every 4 months , then I should be clear . I'm hoping I can get back my energy to get out and go again .

Came out to the kitchen and saw 3 deer in my backyard.  Just lounging around. One gave me the look who the hell are you.

Fun living in the country..

I see them in my yard all the time here in the Cleveland suburbs...drives my dogs crazy.  Yesterday evening around 6pm 3 deer strolled by a foot or so from my back patio... there are 4 that spend a lot of time in the empty wooded lot next door.

Belated congrats on getting through that. I hope you're up and running at 100% real soon.

I was looking through some model RR parts listings and came across one that started with "Poor Quality".

With so many people routinely trying to pass off substandard garbage as gold, I really have to applaud this guy's honesty. :D

I have a little herd of six females that live in my neighborhood.  There is one little one that's from 2017, and two that were born in 2018.  They are so tame that they'll graze a few feet from our deck while we're sitting on it.  I can walk out to the car and they won't even budge.  Lately it's that season so there's some bucks around.  They won't come anywhere near people and spook easy.  No doubt they're from the deep woods.

Those are cool...speaking of 'The Dude',  over the weekend I watched a couple good 80s Jeff Bridges movies I hadn't seen in years..'Against All Odds' and 'Jagged Edge'.  The chase between the Ferrari 308 and Porsche 911 cabrio in Against All Odds is memorable.

I was very pleased when the kindergarten student I mentor at our local school finally has started to respond positively to me. I had a talk with his teacher who explained that in order to help him overcome his hyper activity and short attention span they have wear a small(2'x2') weighted blanket across his lap to calm him. That worked so well and I feel like maybe I can finally get through to him. Children are such a blessing that those with learning problems really tug at my heart strings.

We are getting our new home soon but they had to get rid of the old one first, they started Monday, it was a little sad at first but I'll be happy as a pig in ...  well you know, when it's finished. I didn't get over today to see what it looks like but here's some carnage shots.

This weekend is My Furry Valentine.  It's a massive animal adoption event at the convention center of rescues and shelters throughout the area showcasing some 800 plus animals looking for a home.  Some shelters host satellite adoption events as well.  Leaving work early tomorrow to help a couple rescues set up and working one of the booths on Sunday.  The wife was suppose to come up but the polar extremes in the weather lately has her not feeling well.  She SAID it was to help but I told I thought it was to ensure I didn't come home with dog number 5.

Hmmm, Considering NNL Nationals 40 is this year and the first one was held at his house?  Yea, maybe late 40s...

Actually I was 39 at the time of the first NNL here in 1980. I am 79 now.
