Luc Janssens Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Mine the '62, like you see hare in the pics, and also the '69-70 DeVille's, Photo taken by me, somewhere north of Seattle just off Interstate 5, in the summer of 1999.
dublin boy Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 67 Eldorado is my favourite, I had a die cast of it when I was a kid. Many years later I was visiting my friend in San Francisco, there was one parked in the avenues, dull black paint, but still nice.
Monty Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 (edited) 67 Eldorado is my favourite. I agree! I'll take mine in black. Edited February 15, 2015 by Monty
StevenGuthmiller Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 (edited) I've always been very fond of the '56 Caddy. Not exactly sure why, but I sure wish someone would do it in kit form! Steve Edited February 15, 2015 by StevenGuthmiller
unclescott58 Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 I like the the big Fleetwood Broughams and Seventy-Fives from the 1971 - 1976 generation of Cadillacs. Scott
Ace-Garageguy Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 I think my favorite is the last of the single-headlight cars like this '57 series 62 droptop.
Atmobil Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Never been a great Cadillac fan but I kind of like the 65:
thatz4u Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 the 1966 Miller-Meteor "station wagon version"..........
disabled modeler Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 the 1966 Miller-Meteor "station wagon version".......... YES...!....also I like the 65-70 Coupe/Sedan Devilles...think there beautiful.
1930fordpickup Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 the 1966 Miller-Meteor "station wagon version".......... X2. My buddy had one we drove from Michigan to Daytona beach twice in the mid eighties. White with a black top. Road great at 75 to 80 . Slept in the back when you were not driving. Plenty of room for us to sleep and luggage.
Krazy Rick Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 I was shocked when they started slapping the Caddy name on the goof mobiles, of course I think it's been a gradual decline of style & class.
Fat Brian Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 I like the 55, 56, and 57's, your 62 is amazing, and then I really like the 69's like this one http://www.ha-ims.com/vehicle_images/4-6572.JPG and 70's like this one http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_images/4/583/2969/38956484001_large.jpg
Chuck Most Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 The only Cadillac I'd ever actually want to own..
dublin boy Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Gives a new meaning to understeer... Still my favourite one though.
Eshaver Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 I guess the 56 Eldorado. I used to maintain one for a friend . he got tired of the 2 X 4 set up , said it used too much gasoline . I switched it over to a Cadillac with a standard Rochester 4-CG on it .
gtx6970 Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 1957-58. the Last ones before they went long and low
Tom Geiger Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Those front wheel drive Eldorados were very popular in the demolition derbys, because no matter how bad you crunched up the rear, you didn't have to worry about breaking a drive shaft or the rear wheels hanging up.
Deathgoblin Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Used to drive a 1998 Deville Concours. Garnet red with a tan leather interior and Bose sound. It was awesome until the Northstar pooped out. I wish I could've gotten my uncle's 1974 Fleetwood hearse.
Joe Handley Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 I'm finding myself really like the current generations of Non-SUV Caddys as a whole.
MPi-KM Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 '57-'60 Eldorado Brougham and '94-'96 Fleetwood Brougham
Tom Geiger Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 There's a 2005 Caddy DeVille with 27,000 miles on it at a local GM dealer... I'm trying not to buy it.
Petetrucker07 Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 I would have to say for vintage Caddys, the 62'. For modern, 2013 CTS-V wagon.
ZTony8 Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 (edited) I'm partial to the styling of the '57 and '58 potato tail Eldorado Sevilles and the '71 and '72 Eldorado coupes. The last CTS-V wagons were interesting cars, too. I'd never consider a Caddy as a daily driver,it's not my type of car.My late aunt had Caddys for the last 30 or so years of her life. For her it was a status symbol. I had an opportunity to drive one of her Cadiilacs once.It was an early 80s vintage rear drive Fleetwood, just a couple years old at the time. The suspension set up was so mushy that the thing would get out of phase with the bumps and rolls of the pavement as it drove straight down the freeway. It was so loose it scared me to drive it.I mentioned my experience to my boss at the time(who had a similar vintage DeVille) and he could scarcely believe me until he had a chance to drive a Fleetwood. Then he told me he had the same experience and that his DeVille didn't drive like that.
