It still has it's fly wheel drive inside.

Gramps46
You might say I have an obsession about C2 Corvette Sting Rays, '63-'67. So when I saw this Revell 1963 promo in Saddle Tan I grabbed it and it came in today and I am very pleased with it. It appears to be correct and I was surprised by the detailed chassis. I think the only thing I could improve is to open up the exhaust tips and paint the wheel rims black.

I've done four of them and will do more if they bring them out in other colors I like. If painting the wheels, you want to do them body color, not black. bandit1
Finally got some styrene for my Pete 377 sffa hood I'm building ? Now what glue(s) work for attaching kit plastic and holds? Never used this stuff before ? 0.30 Styrene Sheet
espo
Plastruct Plastic Weld is a plastic solvent cement. I personally prefer Zap-A-Gap medium CA+ but there are many other glues that might work just as well.
ewetwo
Picked up some more stuff today.. A 1975 Firebird. Box has a date marked on it 1975. A 1994 Firebird Forml. A 1965 GTO. Missing interior tube. A 1969 GTO the judge. A 1968 Firebird. A 1978 Nova. A black Grand Prix. unsure of the year. Another Firebird, unsure of the year. A 66 Caddy. A 63 Corvair. A 55 Chevy. And a 53 Chevy? Some red line tires. Some Whitewalls. Some sets of 20 four matching rims. And a trailer that might match the one that should have been with my MPC 1968 Impala SS.. They are all missing something as far as I can tell. First is does anyone have 2 hub caps for a 66 Cadillac? And stuff will be put up for trade. And am I correct that the last pic is a 53 Chevy? Hotrod 97
Got some stuff at HL today. The Foose FD-100, some display cases for the Eliminator and the Chevelle, and some checkered paper to put on the base of said display cases.
Ace-Garageguy
There's a big hole in my sports-cars collection where Cobras need to be (except for several Daytona coupes), so I snagged a cheap 1/16 MPC 427. Badly water-damaged box, but 100% complete. The kit has some issues compared to a real car, but it's so big, they're relatively easily corrected. Also picked up a cheap 1/24 427 chassis for an orphan body that's been hanging around for some time.

I DO think I'm going to need a hood, but worse comes to worst, I can always Vacuform one from a reissue (I have several). Meanwhile, my original interior, glass, and chassis are temporarily MIA. I couldn't begin to imagine how many times I've run across those things while looking for something else over the last five decades, but of course, now that I can use them, I can't find whatever old box they're in. Sigh--ain't it always the way? I'm sure they'll turn up sooner or later. Worst case scenario, the junk body came with an interior tub (to which I can add the custom dash from a reissue), the simple glass shouldn't be hard to fabricate, and I can drop the whole evil mess on a common GM A-body chassis of some sort. Not going for a stock build here so whatever I end up with from mild custom cruiser to full-on street monster is cool (and, more importantly, basically free). For color, now leaning toward using a can of Duplicolor Honda Hampstead Green I bought because I thought it might be close enough to pass for 1969 Ford Silver Jade, but, now doesn't look like it. But it should look nice with the old Leaf Green interior, providing I do eventually find the thing. Now, of course, I need to go looking for something else, so I magically find the Buick parts while looking for that. That's the way the perverse Universe works, isn't it? Today I managed to find the missing chassis, glass, and engine (for the '65 Riviera). I rounded up the other still-extant parts I knew where were (front and rear bumpers, grille, engine) and got all the survivor parts together for a group photo. Then I took the puke-green body out of Lake Purple, where it had been swimming for a few days. So, if I can find a hood, it looks like it's Project On! The Junkman
Not much. Got a Racing Champions diecast 1970 Petty Superbird in 1/43rd. Box is present but trashed but the car is in real good shape. All of $5 at an estate sale. Gives me a grand total of 3 diecasts and 2 Monogram Cobra kits in 1/43rd. At least that portion of the model collection remains under control. Tube glue up through the fancier TET based liquid cements, and of course C.A. (super glue), and epoxy.
