Hood almost a perfect fit, just a tiny bit narrow. Nice smooth finish tho. The underside will need some cleaning up.

Might be better than the kit hood, which is noticeably too narrow.

I just got that same hood last week as part of a 5 hood order from Lex's on ebay also. I also bought the outlaw '55 Chevy hood as part of my order as I have ideas for both of my '55 Chevy kits. The one I got like yours is a bit narrow as well, but the outlaw hood seems like a better fit overall, it just needs more trimming. In all I've bought 10 hoods from him all total over 3 different orders.

Oof. That should never make it out into the public eye.  Poor quality items like this should never be accepted as "good enough" or "I can fix it". No, whoever made it should finish the master properly, then cast copies of it.

It does kinda look like a lot of work tho to get it presentable. But heck, once the model is built, who's gonna look at it in the display case anyway🤔

I did it for myself and paint most underside of the hood semigloss black. Should have told you my meaning..

Amen Carl!  I build to the best of my ability for me!  I know when it’s right, whether it sits in my case or I take it to club meetings and shows. Good ‘nuf isn’t good ‘nuf!

Found this one on EBay. Ridiculously cheap. Shipped and landed here for less than half the cost of what I see these normally go for. Maybe people see the box and think it's a toy or something.

Despite the goofy cartoon graphics, inside is a perfectly good kit of a 964 Carrera.

It's an Aoshima kit, but it looks identical to the Fujimi Carrera 2/4 kit.

I got this pile & a bunch more, but haven't gone through it all yet. There's still more to pick up too. The KW box was full of Plastruct stuff and the other is just parts. This all probably would have been thrown away if I wasn't there to help them move, it all looks like junk to my friends brother & mother. They try to keep any model stuff or old toys set aside for me but the plastruct stuff looks like nothing to most people who don't build.
